Big ((hugs)) Charli. You're not a failure sweetie. I know everyone has an idea in their head of the perfect birth but at the end of the day it's about the end result, getting your beautiful baby in your arms. I know it must be difficult waiting for something to happen though.

    xx

Glad the sweep wasn't too bad Charli. I'm sorry you are still hanging about but only a few more days so just hang in there.
I know it's easy for me to say but it will all be worth it. You can't argue with nature and getting stressed will just taint your experience of pregnancy. I prescribe a lot of lazing about, big mugs of tea and copious amounts if chocolate. And if you can manage it pineapple, curry, sex, tweak your nipples and drive over ridiculous amounts of speed bumps.
    Hope your day gets better
    Xx

Sexymouse- how awful having a MIL that interferes... :( I haven't had any contact with the inlaws since before xmas due to OH falling out with them and severing all contact with them and his brother and sis law  I can see why he did it (they aren't very nice people) Iv'e had to delete and block certain people on fb due to it 'cos we don't want people knowing about the baby when she gets here.. it's a bit of a mess really. I feel really lucky that I'm really close to my family and want them there as soon as after the birth :o I'd even consider my step mum (who i class as much as a real mum) being there at the birth if she wanted, but im not sure how the oh would feel about that!
regarding home and hospital births I feel it's best to give birth where you feel comfy and happy :) if that means in a hospital then that's where where you should be, if you're more comfy at home then you should be able to have your baby there :) Each woman is different and has different needs :) As long as everyone is happy then they should be supported in their birthing decisions :D
choc lover- good luck doing your jobs :) i need a cleaning fairy and job fairy
Elelyn- Its lovely when the oh's can feel the kicks :D mine gets booted in the head quite regularly! I keep getting a bottom poking out of my bump :D and also little feet poking out!!
hugs to anyone that needs them :) xx

I can't wait until Moon can feel Bean squirming too. It has progressed from feeling like fluttering to feeling like squirming occasionally now though, so hopefully it won't be too long. I'm 18+1 now, but was told by the midwife that it probably won't be very strong until around 24 weeks (first baby).
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

Thank you everyone xx I really appreciate the hugs and advice :)

It's so hard to be patient, like others have said being home alone when hubby is at work all day is hard and doesn't help. I tend to over think things when I am on my own and get myself in a state!

Lol happy I feel like I have pineapples coming out of my ears!! Will keep going with it all though, and bouncing on my ball. At least that way I feel like I am doing something to help myself.

I certainly have the tea and chocolate habit down :) lol

Hey Charli, glad the sweep was OK, I was just reading in my What to Expect book that women can go from fully closed cervix to everything happening in the space of a day, easier said than done but try to relax :) - my aunt reckons my cousins didn't come until she's literally completed every 'to do list' task so if you have anything left to pack or do maybe get it done today?! I know I need to sterilise the bottles for the hospital bag and my mother reckons that's why I've not had any real signs yet!

That said, I've had plenty of false labour signs, 4 hours of not being able to get comfy for BH last night, drove poor DH mad wriggling around, he'd read dehydration can make them stronger so I drank a lot, then needed a pee all night instead!

Just called the OU to let them know I'm still around and still planning on doing my exam on Wed, better get revising! I'll be 39+5 and have terrible baby brain and yet they reckon you get no special treatment for a normal pregnancy, I'm sure my brain isn't at full capacity though!

jovichick123- The boredom is a killer! i worked full time from 16 -25 and then i had millie and then maddie. I went back to work 2 and a bit years ago and i love my job :) I'm very bored now and the oh doesn't "get" it. Take yesterday, It was my birthday on saturday and we went to my dad's which was nice. the oh said he would take me out on sunday to spend my bday money (i keep tropical fish and have several tanks so wanted some more fishies) however when he came in the bedroom 1st thing i asked for a cuddle and he brushed me off... he was distant all morning and when i asked him about going out he snapped at me saying the weekend was for doing nothing... so i retreated to the bedroom all day whilst the kids played in their room. I then got blamed for sulking!!! I have given up with him! I cant drive due to the epilepsy and i cant go anywhere by bus because of the pain. So i get really really fustrated being in this "prison" of a house.... as soon as ive given birth i shall never be here!! :D so anyway ive taken to looking at the house work and thinking :( and wishing for a handsome butler to come and do it :D thankgod for my laptop!!! :D :rotfl: I couldnt be without it!

Good luck with the exam Amymo! That's very brave of you to go ahead and sit it now - special allowances should definitely be made for baby brain! Im so forgetful now and have no common sense at all! Hoping it comes back after the birth :)

That's very encouraging that the cervix can open in a day and has cheered me up. MW yesterday was just talking me through induction and made it sound like it was inevitable. I so hope my body and baby decide to get things moving on their own before it comes to that.
