Emsbet I thought maternity notes were standardised as well, but obviously not. The ones back in Ripon were dark green and here I've been given a big clear plastic ring binder with a seperate compartment for any loose leaflets and things I get. There's one in it for parenting classes at the minute but have to admit I've not had a full read through of it all yet and have so far written my name in it lol. I'm glad the blood tests from my original booking in and my notes from my scan can be transferred over though, although I no doubt will need to be stabbaged with more needles in the upcoming weeks. You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

Laura good luck for tomorrow, this time tomorrow you will be having cuddles. X
We have the surf also and love it, oh couldn't believe all the extras like parasol etc. Just need rain to stop so we can test drive it with LO on board.Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. Just a black maxi dress from New Look. They had only a black and white stumped which I wasn't too keen on and a blue which wasn't too flattering and a tentish. But they're so comfy looking forward to some hot weather :0)
Will send it a bit later Rebekah no real rude positions, but I'm going back tomorrow so it begin to get interesting ;-):j Baby boy arrived 22nd August 2012 :j

For those of you who work, what did you put in your letter to work confirming your pregnancy? I need to write one for my OH to drop in with my sick note tomorrow and whilst they all know that I am pregnant they obviously need to have something for their notes.
Also, am I was well to put down when I want to go on maternity leave? Is it worth me putting down 34 weeks for when I want to leave or with SPD being diagnosed so early am I kidding myself? You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

Would you like a birthday baby Charli or would you prefer him/her o have their own birthday?
My LO is due 9 days before my birthday so we could potentially be sharing
xx
Id rather baby had their own birthday ideally, more their its sake than mine. But as long as its all happy and healthy I dont really mind
I just cant stand the thought of waiting another 9 days! LOL Not that I am impatient or anything! :rotfl:0 -

Just put in the letter to HR when I your due date and when do you want to start maternity leave. If your SPD is bad, doctor can sign you off. Check your sick leave policy - is it just statutory, or more? My company gives full pay for 6 months, for example. If you are not losing income, I would be tempted tostart maternity leave as late as possible, as it gives you more time with the baby in the the side. If you are signe off work with pregnancy related issues, your employer can start your maternity leave at 36 weeks (4 weeks before EDD).
My letter was a full page, as our HR is useless and I wanted to make sure that all my holidays, the bank holidays I will accrue whilst off, etc are mentioned.Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -
Ikkle I didn't have to write to say I was pregnant I just told my boss, or is it letter saying when you want to start maternity leave? I've planned to start maternity at 36weeks with two weeks annual leave prior so I'll leave at 34. Realistically it's bonkers I'm already struggling with my hips and some days can barely move and it's a physical job. My boss thinks it unrealistic. But I don't want to waste maternity leave lying stuck on the sofa I'd rather safe it until late as possible. It sounds cheeky but I'd rather be off sick on full pay and not waste prebious maternity leave (and pay). I'm not sure if this is countrywide but my work policy states if you're off sick due to pregnancy related things maternity leave will automatically start four weeks before edd. I'm using up all my annual leave before I leave as it states they won't carry it over. Also means I have shorter working weeks :-)
