Congratulations Safesound
Thank you to those to replied to my message about presents. I'd love to take round a hamper of food and bits and pieces but we live 3 hours awayGoing to send a card and look in town to see if I can find something small to send - will get them something else when everything's settled down and we can go and see them.
Regarding birthing partners I am really hoping my OH can be there but it depends on when baby decides to make an appearance. There's a risk that my OH will have to leave me while I'm in labour or not be there at all so my mum's coming down to be here just in case. I'm hoping baby turns up bang on time, early or 5 days late as I'm due on the Friday and my OH has to get a train to London at 6pm on the Sunday and won't be back until late on Tuesday.
Mum's coming down from Saturday and will go home Wednesday.
- if I'm in labour and my OH is there she's likely to stay out of the way and ensure the house is ready for when we come home
Though if my OH isn't around at the birth it's going to drive her up the wall not being able to tell anyone that baby has arrived until I've spoken to my OH
Hope everyone's feeling well today. I'm getting a little fed up of feeling exhausted all the time - I ran up the stairs yesterday so I could see a steam train at the bottom of the garden and had to lie down for 20 minutes until I'd got my breath back and stopped feeling dizzy
My friends put photos of their little one online last night and she's beautiful. Makes it feel even more real that we'll have a little one of our own in 8 weeks
Have a good day everyone0 -

Thanks guys for all your input. We weren't going to drive to the hospital as its quite a central location and the parking charges/congestion charges are all a bit horrific. The plan was to drive only if it was an emergency and I go into labour in the middle of the night or something.
I think I will just pack a few essentials as someone suggested just in case.
I have been a bit crampy since yesterday anyhow so it might all happen sooner. However, I do tend to be a bit of a hypochondriac so I can never tell :rotfl:0 -
ohhh i hope your getting mummy cuddles soon hun. its mad thinking we are bump buddies and isla will be three weeks old on friday0

You poor thing. I hope you get all your appointments rearranged and wishing your DH a speedy recovery.
Dashikii, sounds like things are starting for you, hopefully you won't need the induction.
Weather is pretty pants here today and apparently it's set to stay like this for the week. Going to make a start on painting the doors today as we didn't have time to take the furniture out of the little bedroom so I can't strip anymore wallpaper until tomorrow.

Congratulations safesound on the arrival of baby Jake. Hope you're settling in ok.
Hugs for you and your DH lovecrafting. I hope he's on the mend soon and that you manage to rearrange the appointments easily.
Hope you're feeling better soon mishka. I know how you feel. I had the most awful night's sleep last night as our windows desperately need replacing, and were whistling with the wind all night. I also feel sicky today. Try to take it easy and don't overdo things today. Luckily I'm still child-minding and not teaching today so I'm just chilling with the I-pad.
Dashikki I hope it all goes well with the sweep or that you are in labour naturally now and won't need one.
Random question, has anybody else had their quick reply box disappear this morning? I have had to click on the button to post reply as it's not there. Not noticed it being missing on the I-pad before.
Hope everyone is well.
