Thanks for asking guys. Yes me and Tristan came home yesterday and so we have had our first night as a family and it was lovely. He's been really well behaved and Callum is being really helpful.
I feel like I've been run over by a bus still and can't string 2 words together in the correct order but at least we are home. Just waiting on the midwife calling at some point today.
I will put a pic up if someone tells me how. And I mean in a language only the really stupid can understand cos thats me at the moment.
Not really read properly but hope you are all well
    Xx

Congratulations glimmer - welcome to the world baby Leo!

Lovely to hear you are home Happy. If you want to post a picture, you have to upload it to a photo sharing site like flickr (you need a yahoo account I think when using flickr). It's fairly easy to upload it, and once you've done that:

    - right click on the picture in flickr,
    - choose copy image location,
    - then go into this forum, and where the buttons are to change the fonts etc, there is a picture with a mountain on it. Click on this
    - then right click in the box to paste the image location.
    - Then just press ok. It should put the picture into the box automatically then.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

congratulations to all the ladies who have had their babies:) cant believe that will be me in about 15 weeks, it is scary.

i would like to try hypnobirthing cd as well, if anyone has any suggestions which one?

i had to have non wired bras from about 20 weeks due to upper back pain. my boobs are small as well.

slept ok last night, i think i woke about 3 times to readjust myself, had lower back pain when i woke but eased off with some fisiocrem and a swim.

Wow, congratulations to Happy and Glimmer, that's excellent news.

Hold on a minute, !!!!!!???? When did I get to number 5? :p
This is actually getting real. I'm really pleased that I have a date to look forward to though cos I think I would go nuts just waiting around for nature to kick in. I salute you ladies who wait. I'm actually getting excited now and am really looking forward to the whole experience.
A few people have said to me that I'm a bit too relaxed about the whole labour experience, but I just refuse to focus on the pain. Yes it will hurt, probably more than I can ever imagine, but I don't see how focusing on it helps me or the babies. Also learnt some really useful tips from a friend of mine who is a hypnobirthing therapist so I will be positive.

Oh and I have my pushchair and car seats finally :j

I know what you mean Dashikii - I'm a few behind you but sometimes can't believe this really is happening and that we'll have a whole new person in our lives soon! Also think you're spot on about labour - really refreshing to hear :).

On another note has anyone else experienced crazy crazy itching absolutely all over your body? It's my latest development and came on all of a sudden yesterday whilst we were doing our regular supermarket shop. I've not changed anything (same washing powder, clothes etc) so couldn't understand why it came on so suddenly. After a while I just had to come home, strip off and gently rub my skin (trying not to scratch!). I had a cool bath before bed but it didn't really help and in my half-awake/half-asleep state overnight I've left myself with some really nasty looking scratches on my tummy, arms and legs :( (I think I need some scratch mits!)

I've read up on Obstectric Cholestasis and have to say I'm a little worried and I'm still tingling allover and trying not to itch. I also don't want to jump to conclusions though. There is a midwife drop in session at a local sugery tomorrow so I'm going to go there and get their advice. I don't think there's any need to do anything more urgently than that but will let you know what happens tomorrow.

Has anyone else has experienced anything similar (I'm keen to know either way whether is was OC or a false alarm)?

Oh Happy he's gorgeous, well done you!

Had a false alarm last night :o woke to my first painful set of braxton hicks, I think owing to a touch of dehydration but they were so painful I had to walk round the house for an hour, DH was amazing, I know he'll be grand when it's the real thing, but I was really taken by surprise and when they intensified and my back started to ache I just felt panicked, am knackered today! Exciting but scary times!

    Congrats glimmer! Lovely name.

Natwesty, there have been ladies on here who have suffered with bad itching that hasn't been due to OC but its definately worth getting it checked out just incase. I can't remember who it was but someone's doctor prescribed aqueous cream with menthol which apparently was brilliant for the itching.

I'm another one who isn't too worried about labour....yet! I just tend to think that millions of women do it everyday and many of them go on to do it again and there's a lovely present waiting at the end of it that will be well worth it however bad it is!!

Its when they move their feet along your belly and you can see the whole foot protrude that bothers me - its fascinating and weird all at once :rotfl:
What stage is this?! I have the joys yet to come!
