Wow I seem to be going up and down the list like a yoyo as more people come over from 12-24 weeks thread. Still, I'm not due for quite a while yet, so I guess I just have to be patient, and I'm sure time will fly by.

Welcome Gemma - nice to see you over here.

Our next scan is 26th April, so not long to go - I'm hoping we'll be able to find out the sex of the baby, but I have quite a wriggler inside me, so will be interesting to see if Bean keeps still long enough for them to see. You could really hear it wriggling when the midwife put the doppler on me on Friday, as the heartbeat kept moving around! lol

Have been feeling flutters more regularly now, so I'm really pleased, and can't wait until Moon can feel them too. Our cat seems to have become extremely affectionate recently (it could be cos it's spring ;) ), and has taken to lying either right up against bump and purring constantly, or lying near me if he is hot. He keeps putting his paw on my leg when he lies down, almost as though he's saying that I'm his property. lol I'm wondering whether Bean can hear his purring through the duvet and my tummy, as it's very loud, but I guess that may just be a romantic notion. :)

Have spent this evening signing up to parent and baby clubs. Is there a list somewhere of which ones give you freebies etc?

Hope everyone is well this evening, and that ladies who are due imminently are looking forward to their mummy cuddles.

    sexymouse xx
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

  • Evening all! Hope everyone is enjoying their Sunday.

Happy he's just do gorgeous, glad your home.

    Welcome Gemma :-)

Glad I seem to be going back down the list as ppl join, was going up rather rapidly for a minute there!!

I'm also trying with the positive labour thinking. Might look into a hypno-wotsit cd too if anyone can recommend or heard of any good ones. Really hoping for a home birth. Also in my mind I'm thinking an epidural is just really invasive for me. I guess I see them everyday at work. Planning just to pop him out and then have a cuppa lol. Or am I just being naive?

Not really felt any more "popping bubbles" since the other day. I know. It can be as late as 23 weeks before regular movement is felt and he was bouncing about on the scan last week.....but I am worrying just a little bit. Even though the midwife says don't listen to everyone feeling things etc, but still I guess I have to be patient. Not one of my strong points!!

Ok...daft question for the day..... Is there any real difference between a labour bouncing balls and one of those bouncy exercise balls? As I have an exercise one (which is very neatly folded in original packaging) I wondered if I could use that?

Big labour vibes to those that need them :0)

  • Sexymouse I'm sure there's a list somewhere but off my head the ones I signed up for with freebies...
    Boots baby club
Tesco baby club (not received anything yet)
    Cow and gate
    Pampers
Emma's diary (get a Free goodie bag from Argos but I didn't think it was marvellous, but you get another at I think 27 weeks)
Asda baby club (you get free huggies newborn pack when u print off the voucher)
Bounty - which I think most midwives give
Sainsburys also give a free huggies newborn kit when you buy newborn nappies when you join and print the voucher off.

My bestest gave me a long list of clubs with the ones giving stuff away marked so maybe if I find it tomorrow I'll post it on here.

    Hope that helps xx

    Congratulations Glimmer :)

Natwesty, I had sudden itching about 8 weeks ago - I didn't think much of it but when I went into hospital for a check up for something else they noticed the itching and did a blood test to check liver function in case of Obstetric cholestasis. The results came back negative :) It's worth mentioning to your midwife just so they can check and you don't worry. In my case the itching went by itself though apparently if it hadn't the midwife would've done a liver function test every 4 weeks until it stopped just in case Obstetric cholestasis developed.

Hope everyone sleeps well tonight *hugs*

Boots baby club if you wait till they have a 342 on to use the vouchers they send you you can get some right bargains, i got an Avent bottle, Avent teats, baby changing bag, large pampers nappies, Avent mums essential toiletries set and a unisex vest for bubs and it cost me £5.00
Tesco baby club (not received anything yet)
Cow and gate you get a little toy cow and a pregnancy diary which is quite cool
Pampers don't send anything out until 32 weeks i think but still one worth signing up to
Emma's diary (get a Free goodie bag from Argos but I didn't think it was marvellous, but you get another at I think 27 weeks) i got one of these and it had fruit flakes and a dove shampoo thing and i think that was it lol but the fruit flakes came in handy cos i was feeling queasy
Asda baby club (you get free huggies newborn pack when u print off the voucher) if you press back you can print a 2nd or get your OH to print one off. They aren't £5 exactly anymore think they are £5.48ish but you get a pack of newborn nappies a pack of wipes a hat and £5 worth of vouchers in each pack, save your vouchers for special offers
Bounty - which I think most midwives give mine was an out of date one that i got given so was pants hoping the new midwife i meet on Wednesday will give me an up to date on, there was a voucher in the o.o.d one for a free pack of nappies though
Sainsburys also give a free huggies newborn kit when you buy newborn nappies when you join and print the voucher off. you can always use the vouchers from the huggies box, to bring price down or wait for offers, this has a travel changing mat, some wipes and then things like samples of fabric conditioner, tissues, shampoo etc. Think the samples vary. Theres also vouchers for little swimmers nappies in this box

Other sites to join are Huggies Club - they let you print off some m.o.c and now and then do vouchers for free packs of nappies - i got one a few weeks ago for a pack of size 3 nappies which do for storing.

There's also aptamil who send a little polar bear teddy and information.

My lists are all on my laptop though and I'm using OH's so if I think of anymore I will add them but I know with coupons/free packs etc I've managed to stock up 298 nappies in sizes 1-3 and from different brands lol and I've spent about £5. xx
You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

xx Mama to a gorgeous Cranio Baby xx

Hi hon. I used the Natal hypnotherapy hospital/midwife unit set, which i found really helpful and relaxing, has 4 Cds, one of the music, one anytime, once post 32weeks, and one post birth and i would definately recommend. Am about to sell on ebay, but if interested, let me know.
On the ball, they are more or less the same, but birthing ones have anti burst as you dont want to fall on you bum/tum if the ball goes bang!

I was tested for OC too as i was SOOOOO itchy all over the place. Nothing helped, until the consultant prescribed me aqueous cream with menthol in it.. Oooooh the blissful relief! If anyone is suffering, i would recommend asking for a prescription for it.

  • Wow Ikkle your list is amazing. Will have too look for offers before I use my boots vouchers. Mine expire in June so I've got time. I think I saw Huggies on offer in Morrisons on the advert. My sis works there so I get 10% off too so might take some vouchers there too. Would be great if you had any more places to get freebies/bargains.

Kira, sounds great cd. Any chance you could pm me the details?
