I know - I need to call them again. Maybe I just need to print out the webpage and go back to the store... £8 is not little money. I could have got the 6 sheets for £22 instead of £30 that I paid in the end. Might send them another email tonight complaining about lack of response.

Good idea Gin. It shouldnt matter whether it's 8p or £8000 it's the principle and the fact they should have better customer service. We all pay a lot of money for all this baby stuff and it's not acceptable to be ripped off.

Congratulations to Lovecrafting! Hope she and new arrival are keeping well.

Sent another email saying that I am disappointed and this time exoect more than just an email back telling me to call them!

Ok, I have a new task - I need to find a clean and find out how things work for taxes, etc. We agreed with OH that we will not be able to cope with two babies and beibg on top of house chores, so some help will be appreciated. Now just need to find someone good, reliable and not too expensive. I have merrymaids in the area, but maybe I would prefer someone working for themselves. On the other hand, I would like someone to sort the housecleaning every week, not just when they are not on holiday... Oh well,I better start the search!

Gin, recorded letter to their head office. Don't phone them it costs about a billion pence a minute (I learned the hard way) and they don't reply to emails. I got quite a few Gift Vouchers that way ;)

You should. You don't need the stress of all of that, as well as being pregnant, with twins no less! The letter I sent them was quite legendary, if I can find it I'll post it on here ;)

    Found it ha...

    Dear Sir/madam

On finding out I was expecting my first child, myself and my partner opted to purchase our travel system from Mamas & Papas, as they seemed to be a leading brand in the sale of Baby Goods.

After the treatment and stress we have been through I would never return to purchase anything nor recommend Mamas & Papas to friends.

We confirmed our delivery date in our local store (Belfast, Victoria Square) on the 9th of December, which was dealt with fine. On Monday the 12th of December my partner received a voicemail from an employee of Mamas & Papas informing him our seat pads for our chosen pram (MYLO) were no longer available and we’d have to choose a different colour or be refunded, obviously this upset us as we envisaged our seat pads matching the rest of the pram. The tone of this voicemail was entirely inappropriate, the woman did not sound apologetic and was in fact overly cheerful about a situation which was of great concern to us. On contacting the call centre, we were told this information was actually inaccurate and the seat pads we had ordered could be sourced and they would be sent to us in a separate delivery. We agreed this would be fine and were told we would be emailed to let us know our delivery had been dispatched.

As our pram was being delivered to my In Laws, I then travelled an hour long journey on Wednesday the 14th of December to wait for the arrival of the courier. When the pram was then delivered I discovered the car seat and adaptor had not arrived. I then contacted Wendy at Head Office to enquire why we were missing parts of our delivery. She promptly sorted it out and ensured the delivery would arrive the next day and offered a £10 E Gift Card for the inconvenience.

This gift card never arrived, I then sent an email via the Customer Care link on your website, advising yourself of this, and have heard nothing back.

My Mother In Law then had to take a day off work on the Friday to await the delivery of the seat pads (our third delivery in 3 days) when these arrived she opened them to discover there were no hoods for the carry cot or pushchair.

I then contacted your Head Office, again, on the morning of the 17th of December, to enquire about the hoods, only to be told by the rather unfriendly operator it was in fact our fault as we had never ordered the hoods and this would cost us an extra £100 on top of what we had already paid, a week before Christmas. She then told us the hoods we would need for our pram were no longer available in our chosen colour, offered us £30 compensation in the form of a gift card and transferred us to the store where we initially purchased our pram. I got the impression that the operator did not want to deal with me, and was happy to palm me off onto your in-store colleagues. By this point I was highly stressed and upset with the way I was being treated.

I then spoke to your store manager, Emma at the Belfast Store, and she immediately apologised for her call centre counter parts behaviour, she promised she would source the hoods we needed from somewhere, and would contact us as soon as possible. She then called back and informed us the hoods had been ordered. Her customer service was impeccable, and obviously realised the stress this would cause on an 8 month pregnant woman.

My partner then contacted Customer Service at Head Office as he was unhappy with the way I had been treated, and spoke to another helpful colleague who confirmed the hoods would be dispatched.

After the stress and hardship we have been put through, and the loss of income due to taking days off to wait in for 4 separate deliveries, £30 compensation is an insult, especially when I logged onto your website to find the same pram at the same price now includes the foot muff, changing bag and parasol, all 3 of which we initially were planning on buying, but have now been put off purchasing by the shambles your company has created.

This is our first child, and we purchased from Mamas & Papas in good faith, only to be let down, after spending a considerable amount of money, because of this, it would deter us from returning to purchase anything for any future children. We feel nothing has been done to rectify or appease us as a £30 Gift Card does not come close to compensating us for what we have been put through, and the stress put on a heavily pregnant woman.
