I was getting a bit paranoid about it in the week after the lady at the recruitment lady said she thought I looked small for 16 weeks but I've decided not to worry because I can't do anything about it :)

Hope everyone is enjoying their Saturday.

    xx

emsbet, I've been told, at various stages in my pregnancy, "oh you look small for XX weeks", "gosh you're big for XX weeks" - sometimes by different people in the same day!! Basically, noone has a clue, so don't worry about it! :p

I'm having a good saturday thanks, had a little lie in, then DH cooked me raspberry and banana pancakes for breakfast (nom nom), then we went to Boots to pick up our car seat (exciting!). The rest of the day so far we've just been looking at and sitting in our loft! We've got two of the six new velux windows in now, which is really exciting - we both stood in the open windows waving down at the neighbours, lol! :rotfl: Now I'm just going through the costs etc and trying to keep a handle on what we're spending on it. (LOTS!)

My aunt phoned today to say that she's bought us a moses basket :j She's keeping it at her house for the time being though as our place is such chaos. Can't wait to see it, I do think babies look gorgeous in them, even though it was something we had on our "nice to have" list rather than "essentials".

Picked up my new breast pump yesterday too, it's all rock and roll here! :D

Happy - i love your chosen name too, I think it's very classic and uncommon without being too outrageous! ;) I must admit that I too thought of the Big Bang Theory when I saw it...! (love that programme)

Ok ladies, I have a genuine baby-related question! (whilst the chocolate conversation is quite stimulating, it's prob a good idea to talk babies once in a while...! ;) )

Sterilisers. I have no idea! Do I need one? I'm planning to breastfeed, but obviously will need to use bottles sometimes, even if BF-ing goes well. What are the pros and cons of microwave/electric/milton tablets/boiling in a saucepan/dishwasher? Seems there are a million and one methods and I have no idea which is most convenient! *confused face*

    What have you all got/used?

Mmmmm got steak for tea as a special treat - can't wait :D (back to food convo now!)

    BB x

BB - I am bottle feeding so I have an electric steriliser as I will be using it a lot. Also I don't actually own a microwave so that's not an option for me. I know Gilly was mentioning the MAM bottles a few pages back which apparently are self sterilising in the microwave so if you werent using very often might be another way of doing it. It really is down to personal choice.

Yes I have finally decided on a name which me and Callum agree. It was 20 years this year since my grandad died so I wanted his name in there aswell so it's a bit old fashioned but he is going to be called Tristan Leonard. I know a few of my family won't like it but I dint care!!!

    Hi happy
My three yo nephew is called Tristan so I am biased love the name.
Also if he is as cute you will be blessed todays comment was ' auntie glimmer where is babys Willy? Ermm same place as yours Tristan between your legs. Oh ok auntie glimmer

    That was my thought exactly......lol.

If Trafford is awkward, what about Bury or similar, never been but it is on the way for me, maybe a little too far or more hard work for you all but I am just thinking......i just thought Trafford was central, easy and free parking, didn't think about public transport.

Thanks to all those who asked how I was feeling, there is too much chat to go back and quote who you are ;) but hopefully Ive thanked each post !

Cramps all gone when I woke up at 3am  and were still gone when I finally drifted back to sleep at gone 5am - (only to have my old enough to know better boys wake me up at just after 6am for juice, feeling like a zombie today!)

For those who may have missed it, Marks and Spencer have a sale on again, picked these up today for the bargain price of £5 for a pack of 2 nursing bras, very pleased as last time round I spent over £20 on one !

Someone mentioned bottle sterilisers, we used the Avent microwave one and were quite pleased with how easy it was (they stay sterilised for up to 24hrs if left un-opened) BUT the bottles were pretty pants so will be looking for something similar with another make this time round.
    Bow Ties ARE cool
