:mad: Soooo not fair, the MW I saw on Friday wouldn't even consider it until 41 weeks. I've got an acupunture appointment on Thursday and MW again on Friday so fingers crossed something happens then - really getting fed up now :o

But great news Darkphaery, here's hoping it continues for you :j

Yeah great news darkphaery :) hope you progress quickly and the pain isn't too bad.

Isn't it weird how depending upon where you are based depends on what midwives will do. What areas are you both from out of interest.

    happy - I like Harrison George i think it's cute :)

hello! :hello: I haven't posted on here or put myself on list as it is too big and scary!

but, at 16 weeks I woke up with an awful sore throat like it's being restricted and a blocked nose that hasn't gone away when I wake up/go vertical...

so I have a really stupid question. Is vicks/happinose okay in pregnancy? It's only inhalation isn't it but you hear so many contrabands!!

Student_mrs - I know what you mean about the list. I felt that way when I first had a look but I found the 12-24 week one was so quiet it was better to just plunge right in. I used Vicks to inhale when I had a blocked nose but never took medical advice on it. Im sure someone with more knowledge will be along shortly.
Flutterby - how was your afternoon?
Darkphaery - I hope things start to move for you now you have had your sweep. I have no idea when they are offered in my are. Ill check tomorrow with the midwife when I see her. I would just worry it was painful.
Still sending vibes your way Icey. Hope you don't have to wait too long

I am under Hertfordshire trust but have chosen to go to Stoke Mandeville hospital which is under Buckinghamshire - I am equidistant between there and Watford General.

I haven't seen this MW before, I'm hoping to see my usual one on Friday, she's much nicer!

We have a friends wedding on 17th which I desperately want to go to, depending on when Missy decides to grace us with her presence will greatly affect how much we can attend, if at all :o Thankfully, it's only about 30 minutes drive away so if she decides to arrive soon we can show our faces and then tootle off again when we feel the time is right.

I really don't want to get to the point where I am booked in for induction on say 13th (40+10) and it taking a while to get anywhere :(

Wow, seems a busy day here!

Congratulations on all the good appointments!
Welcome to new faces and labour vibes to all who need them!

Re weddings - we have one 2 hours away in 6 weeks, I will be 32, nearly 33 weeks. I hope all goes well and the twins won't decide to arrive around that time! We booked a room in the same place as the wedding, so I can go and rest whenever I want.

Work - I have 15 days left!!! I agreed with my boss that 2 remaining days I can take before I finish working officially, so I am starting a bit earlier the leave than initially thought. And I think there is a baby shower being planned, as a lady colleague was asking if they could come and visit me, which I said of course, but I think we will just go out for a meal after my last day in the office, so it saves people travelling by train to meet up nearby and then having to take another train to a different station to go home.

My nursery chair is on it's wayto me, got a text from Tutti Bambini to say that it has been dispatched today, but knowing my luck, it will arrive on Thursday when I am at work. Hopefully it can be redelivered on Friday, when i have a day off!

Oh, on big events, I have the big wedding just after due date, and am supposed to sit an OU exam the day before my due date, haven't told them what I want to do about it yet, if I go over am tempted to sit it so I don't have to when LO is here!

Cot arrived yesterday but didn't get chance to unpack and check it until this evening. Everything seems to be there and it looks nice so I'm happy :)

On the subject of big events around the EDD, I have a wedding two weeks before 200 miles away from home, an OU assignment due in the week before, my BIL's birthday is 2 days after, my OH has major exams 3 & 4 days after which he has to stay overnight in order to get there on time so really hoping baby turns up on time or 4 days late.
It's my OH's birthday the week after my EDD so he's hoping he doesn't lose his birthday to baby :)

Unfortunately the wedding we were supposed to be attending a week and 1 day after the EDD has been cancelled :(

It's generally going to be a busy week and my sister has her GCSE exams that week as well.

    Really great news emsbet :)

    Hello amy  congratulations!

Sounds promising, darkphaery, hope things keep moving along nicely :D

ON the subject of weddings, I have one about 2 hours away when I'll be 36 weeks - I have NO idea what I'm going to wear! I don't like maternity wear that hangs down from my bump, it just makes me look fat. I prefer things that are closer-fitting, so show the outline of my bump properly :) Any ideas where I can buy something suitable, but that won't cost a fortune?

My loft conversion is going ahead next Monday! So much to sort out before then - clearing stuff out the way for the builders etc. It's going to be chaos but hoping to keep the house as normal as possible, so I don't get too stressed. Should take 7-8 weeks to do the main building work, which would take me up to about 34 weeks, and hopefully give us enough time to get it all painted and carpeted etc!

ginvzt - I'm jealous of your 15 days left - I think I have about 50!! Rubbish, seems like ages.
