Wow Lola, and I thought I was leaving it late to start leave!! How are you finding it?

We have agreed on names at last; Darcie Ava for a girl and Charlie Eric for a boy. might not be to everyones taste but we like them :)

My OH has a daughter called Darcie, spelt like that too. Good choice :)

Regarding big events near due dates - although I completed my MA degree last June, the graduation ceremeony isn't until this July...three weeks after my EDD! I'm desperate to be able to go (I worked blooming hard and managed to get a distinction which I am so proud of :o) but I am worried about what happens if baby is very overdue or if I am in a lot of pain....and not least how absolutely shattered I will be and what to do with baby when I'm in the ceremony! :D

    Dinah, hope all ok xxxx

Laura - I like those names. They are very cute.
I like the middle name George but Harrsion George sounds like a mixed up Beatle!!
Dinah I'm sorry you are back to hospital. Hope you get on ok.
I'm cooking a roast dinner tonight. I have no clue why cos I can't eat big meals any more but it's what the young man wanted so thought I should try and make a good effort for him. I'm sure it's no fun for him living with a hormonal mother who cries at the drop of a hat and takes ages to get off the settee let alone run around after him!!!

Just a quick update. Back from MW baby is 3/5 engaged, all well with BP & heart rate. Had sweep and it really didn't hurt at all, was pleasantly surprised. Am 1-2cm and 50% effaced, MW said she managed to do a really good sweep all the way around and my cervix was really soft. TMI but as soon as i stood up and wiped my plug came away, having cramps every 10 minutes or so, just hoping they stick around and turn into contractions. If not i have another appointment next Tuesday (41+1) but MW didn't seem to think i'd be going...famous last words :)

:mad: Soooo not fair, the MW I saw on Friday wouldn't even consider it until 41 weeks. I've got an acupunture appointment on Thursday and MW again on Friday so fingers crossed something happens then - really getting fed up now :o

But great news Darkphaery, here's hoping it continues for you :j
