morning ladies.
Congrats to Emsbet.
DP, fingers crossed the sweep has done the trick.
Dinah, sorry to hear your BP still isn't coming under control, hope you're back out of hospital soon. I've been very lucky with my BP, I was a little worried I may have problems as my mum did when she was pregnant with me and ended up being induced early. I've been fine so far but I guess there's still time for it to go haywire!
I have a wedding to go to 9 days after my due date but its only a buffet at the reception so our friends have kindly said we can just wait and see what's happening. And its not too far from home so if I'm still awaiting the little monster arriving I'd still be fairly close to home/the hospital.
All was fine at the feto-maternal unit yesterday, baby is still very small (below the 10th percentile for most measurements) but it's followed the curve of the percentile chart as it should so they're happy and have discharged me. They estimated its current weight to be 3lb 6ozs which is also below the 10th percentile. Oh but as we can never be 100% straightforward....the little monster has turned breech! It was head down last week and had been at every appointment I've had during 2012 so either its only just turned or its been turning all the time and has just been head down at all the appointments by sheer coincidence! I've told hubby he needs to get my gym ball out of the loft so I'm ready if I need to try to get it to turn if its breech nearer the time. I can't remember what you're supposed to do though, can anyone help?
I've been so hungry the past few days. I've always got a pretty good appetite but I seem to go through phases where I could just eat constantly! I'm hoping its just that baby is preparing for a growth spurt and it'll pass soon as I'm actually fed up of feeling hungry and trying to find something to eat that's satisfying but not too calorific!!
Oh and I have 11 days left at work after today and I finish 3 weeks tomorrow, my last 3 weeks I have every monday and Friday off so lovely long weekends.0 -
Morning everyone, hoping we get some baby news today, it's a great day for it.
Hospital admitted me again, I was so confident I'd be let out as both my readings in the day assessment unit were 130/80, however the doctor didn't want me to go until she'd spoken to the registrar as she didn't like that it had been 150/110 two hours earlier. By the time the registrar got back from an emergency case my bp was back above the 100 mark again and I was admitted. I had a great midwife last night, who really fought my corner and got my dose made more frequent, so hopefully I won't get the gaps where the pressure rises anymore. However I'm so sick of being admitted, I'm going to ask not to be discharged today, as I'd rather they monitored for a few days, checked the dose was right, then sent me home only to come back when it was through the roof.
They did scare me senseless last night. My blood test from the weekend showed some liver enzyme to be 3x higher than the allowed range, and they were worried I was getting pre-e showing up there rather than it impacting on the more usual location of the kidneys. So they retook the bloods, but warned me if it came back the same or worse we'd need to start discussing delivery options, and start me on steroids to get her lungs matured within a few days. I'm suprised I didn't actually have a complete meltdown at that point to be honest, she's only 25+1 - I feel like 30 weeks is this magic number to aim for and until then she must stay inside.

They put a rush on them so I actually got them just before 2am, thankfully this enzyme has gone back down almost to the normal range apparently, so it might have been a blip, or maybe I'd got a bit of a virus or something.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008
