Welcome to the thread
Your local pharmacist may be the best person to ask.
The advice on the NHS website says:Pregnancy and breastfeeding
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, it is best not to take any kind of medicine. However, if you have a blocked nose and feel you cannot cope with your symptoms, some decongestants are considered safe for short-term use.
You should not take decongestants containing pseudoephedrine, phenylephrine or xylometazoline during the early stages of your pregnancy.
The Vicks website says not to take Vicks Sinex Decongestant Capsules during pregnancy but doesn't seem to mention anything about the nasal spray and pregnancy

Happinose seems to be finePregnancy and breast-feeding
This medicine is not known to cause any problems during pregnancy or while breast-feeding. However, as with all medicines, you should seek medical advice from your doctor before using this medicine if you are pregnant or are breast-feeding.0 -

I had a cold a few weeks ago and pharmacist said the only thing I could do whilst pregnant was steam or put a little bit of olbas oil in a tissue.
I found steaming with just plain boiling water worked for me though, it took a few goes but certainly worth a try.
Hope you feel better soon0 -
Hi all,
Seems like ages since I've had chance to log on - really missed all the updates!
I had my anti-D with no problems, also my glucose tolerance test (my dad's diabetic) which was fine but by did I feel faint and light headed by the end - was so pleased I'd taken a drink and made a sandwich to have afterwards! Would really recommend someone taking you if you can too as I felt woozy all day.
I'm finding I'm only sleeping 3 or 4 hours a night - finding work hard so counting down to mat leave (one month to go!). Tends to be either really bad cramps or just waking up and being completely wide awake despite being really tired - shame I don't feel that way at 6am when the alarm goes off!
I also started my NCT classes - really enjoying them and confident I'll learn a lot from them.
On the big events we have a wedding which is 200 miles away 2 weeks after due date. My mum and dad have even offered to come along to baby-sit and I'll pop in and out. Feel a little daunted by it as I think it'll be tough and might even have to cancel at last minute but really don't want to let everyone down.... fingers crossed.

Natwesty - that's the problem I've been having throughout this pregnancy, waking up in the middle of the night and feeling wide awake!!
Glad your tests went ok. Hope the last month of work goes quickly for youxx

I think I recall this too, the pharmacist agreed that is was all a bit crap but as testing is not done on pregnant women for obvious reasons the best options we had were paracetamol and steam.

but, at 16 weeks I woke up with an awful sore throat like it's being restricted and a blocked nose that hasn't gone away when I wake up/go vertical...
so I have a really stupid question. Is vicks/happinose okay in pregnancy? It's only inhalation isn't it but you hear so many contrabands!!
Mrs- i had a really stuffy nose throughout my pregnancy. Its a normal but not too common symptom. In the end i asked the registrar at one of my appointments if i could use a Vicks inhalator stick, and he said yep, go for it, but dont use any of the nasal sprays.
