Student_mrs - I know what you mean about the list. I felt that way when I first had a look but I found the 12-24 week one was so quiet it was better to just plunge right in. I used Vicks to inhale when I had a blocked nose but never took medical advice on it. Im sure someone with more knowledge will be along shortly.
Flutterby - how was your afternoon?
Darkphaery - I hope things start to move for you now you have had your sweep. I have no idea when they are offered in my are. Ill check tomorrow with the midwife when I see her. I would just worry it was painful.
Still sending vibes your way Icey. Hope you don't have to wait too long
    xx

College was good thanks happy, exam in 3 weeks so got to get my head down and revise.
The roast was yummy thank you. And the strawberry cornetto afterwards was delicious aswell. Lol at you wanting a kebab!!!!

Yum yum, cornettos are my fave, i don't like the cheaper ones, just the walls ones - they are defo the best and it has to be strawberry.

No nursery for my DS today, he is at home with me, was going to do some gardening with him but the weather has let us down so he is upset :( instead we are going to bake this.......he has just told me to put the oven on to warm up, bless him. He is only 3 yet so clued up.

    morning ladies.

    Congrats to Emsbet.

DP, fingers crossed the sweep has done the trick.

Dinah, sorry to hear your BP still isn't coming under control, hope you're back out of hospital soon. I've been very lucky with my BP, I was a little worried I may have problems as my mum did when she was pregnant with me and ended up being induced early. I've been fine so far but I guess there's still time for it to go haywire!

I have a wedding to go to 9 days after my due date but its only a buffet at the reception so our friends have kindly said we can just wait and see what's happening. And its not too far from home so if I'm still awaiting the little monster arriving I'd still be fairly close to home/the hospital.

All was fine at the feto-maternal unit yesterday, baby is still very small (below the 10th percentile for most measurements) but it's followed the curve of the percentile chart as it should so they're happy and have discharged me. They estimated its current weight to be 3lb 6ozs which is also below the 10th percentile. Oh but as we can never be 100% straightforward....the little monster has turned breech! It was head down last week and had been at every appointment I've had during 2012 so either its only just turned or its been turning all the time and has just been head down at all the appointments by sheer coincidence! I've told hubby he needs to get my gym ball out of the loft so I'm ready if I need to try to get it to turn if its breech nearer the time. I can't remember what you're supposed to do though, can anyone help?

I've been so hungry the past few days. I've always got a pretty good appetite but I seem to go through phases where I could just eat constantly! I'm hoping its just that baby is preparing for a growth spurt and it'll pass soon as I'm actually fed up of feeling hungry and trying to find something to eat that's satisfying but not too calorific!!

Oh and I have 11 days left at work after today and I finish 3 weeks tomorrow, my last 3 weeks I have every monday and Friday off so lovely long weekends.

Glad they have discharged you and are not too concerned.

My baby was breech for about 3 months, but has now turned - they told me to crawl on the floor to give the maximum amount of room, or pray like a muslim with bum stuck in the air lol. Must have worked for me as mine is head down now.

Enjoy your last weeks at work Lisa, good luck.

They put a rush on them so I actually got them just before 2am, thankfully this enzyme has gone back down almost to the normal range apparently, so it might have been a blip, or maybe I'd got a bit of a virus or something.

That's some good news then. I hope they get your medication sorted soon to so that they can get your BP under control.

    xx

  • Awww Dinah ((hugs)) hope they get your dose sorted out soon and glad to hear your tests came back normal - I can't even imagine how you must be feeling right now.

Well, me and DS went to pick the travel system up yesterday night. I bought it off ebay for a ridiculously low price on Saturday morning (£31.00). It said it had only been used a few times but I was sceptical given the price I won the auction at.... I am pleased to report it is as new :j:j All accessories in good condition, the only way you would know it has been used previously is a few scratches on the wheels but part from that it is perfect :D It's folded up in the nursery at the moment to stop the cats attacking it before the baby arrives but I keep nipping in to sneak a peek at it :rotfl:

Spoke to OH about the nappies last night and he had basically thought it might be unhygienic to take the nappies at they had been used before. I pointed out two things, the fact that they are reusable nappies for a reason and also the cost of buying the nappies new and he accepted that he had had a knee jerk reaction lol he text his boss and she is bringing them into work tomorrow :D She doesn't want anything for them as she is trying to clear space in her wardrobe :T

Labour vibes to all boldies :)

Dinah, glad the enzyme thing is sorted. i think you're right to insist on staying until they have your BP stabilised, the tooing and froing must be very frustrating.

That cake looks yummy, I'm making a chocolate victoria sponge tonight to bring in to work tomorrow for a friend who is leaving. I'm actually very glad I'm not coming back after my maternity leave as nearly all my friends and people I have enjoyed working with have left or are leaving soon.

I've just had to make my porridge with water and just a tiny splash of 'borrowed' milk as I've somehow managed to leave my milk at home.....I'd got it out of the fridge with the rest of my packup so lord above knows how I managed to not put it in my bag!!! And porridge made with mostly water is an aquired taste....one I used to have but my quest to ensure I have enough calcium whilst pregnant has meant I'm now used to lovely cream porridge made with all milk and no water!

Oh and Jovi, that's amazing to get that many reusable nappies for free! She could have sold them for quite a bit I would think. Do you know what type they are?

Good morning lovely ladies. Hope we are all ok.
Dinah - I'm glad you are ok and that they seem to be monitoring you well. Hopefully you will be out soon but I reckon you do right by staying in while they do.
Lisa - sounds like your little lady is doing just fine if you have been discharged from the unit. You must be pleased.
Flutterby - it certainly was cornetto. They are half price at tescos.
Sammie - it's dull and horrible here today aswell. Send Callum off for the bus at 0715 and it was tipping it down. Felt a little bad for him but did help him put his hood up!
Has anybody heard from Snoopy recently? Haven't seen her about in a few days.
As for me, I have the midwife at 11am and then have to go into work. Really can't be bothered but need the dosh. I always get really nervous before appointments. Don't know why!!!
Have a lovely day all xx
