I'm just doing everything as cheap as possible, maybe I'm tight aswell, but when I only have myself to rely on every penny counts.
i couldnt justify spending lots on a pram either, i think the only thing i have bought new is the steriliser i got at the asda baby event and bottles. everything else has come from ebay/ charity shops or friends!! i bought a moses basket off ebay the other day for £5.50 and it is like brand new!! obviously i will buy a new mattress though.

Is the pain mainly on ur right hand side? Like a burning? If so, i get that, drs will tell u it is normal, its the uterus pushing up
and its agony at times. Had it with every pregnancy, only it starts earlier and earlier each time! If it isnt that, then i`m not sure, but does paracetamol help? And wow, ur baby is going to have a very good start in life

I took some paracetemol the night before last, didn't feel any better at the time but I did sleep better so it probably did something. If you drew a straight line up from my belly button, the pain starts about 2 inches up and 2 inches to my right, it then stretches 2-4 inches across and one inch upwards. I'm guessing this is also probably where my uterus has stretched as far as at this stage, but the pain is only on the right hand side, there is no pain at all on the left. I took a warm bath last night, which helped immediately afterwards, but I think I'm actually worse today. Think I'll have to call the doctors this afternoon if it hasn't improved.
Yeah, think I might splash out on the lovely nursery furniture set me and DH spotted 2 weeks ago. Was thinking £750 was a bit excessive but might as well buy it now when I have the cash and plan on having more than one baby while doing 4 years at university. Besides, we're buying a cheap travel system so they kinda even out!Overpay Mortgage by £9,100 in 2013 - £9,316.16/£9,100

I've bought a new mattress for the basket and the cot. I'm saving on other things so I can buy the really important things new. Just get a bit fed up sometimes as some of my friends can be a bit sniffy and think I should be buying new everything. Its ok for them as they aren't having to buy them. I've given up telling people what I've got and from where cos it was driving me mad. I can only do what in able at the end of the day.DS1 born June 2000

Lovecrafting, have u told tax credits ur money is low? We get £158 a week just in child tax credits. Plus child benefit, which we get monthly. Obviously when baby is born, tell tax credits right away as well as sorting ur child benefit out as soon as u can.
Prams, i paid £50 for a 2nd hand Mamas and Papas herbie with carry cot from a friendAnd then was lucky enough to get that stroller on John Lewis webiste the other week for £42 (was £140)!! but had i not had the pram, i woulda just used the stroller. DD2 was only ever in a stroller and shes fine
