Woohoo! :) I seemed to have developed a thing for egg mayo and I also really fancy an omelette. I blame whoever was talking about egg and salad creme pittas the other day (Lisa I think it might have been) :D

I got my hair done this lunchtime, it feels so good! Why do I love so much to have my hair done? It doesn't have to be anything fancy, I used to let children play with my hair, and put them in pony tails or anything else.

I had my hair cut Monday. Always makes me feel happier even with just a trim. I make ds2 play with my hair!! I could fall asleep at times!! Ds2 also does massaging at his school so I get him to show me that too!! ;)

Most amazing possible - 20 week scan was all positive - baby is measuring well and everything looks healthy. Only slight hiccup is a low lying placenta they want to look at again at 32 weeks to see if it's moved. I've been convinced since getting the BFP we're having a little boy, and today we were told it's a little girl! Over the moon.

    Congrats hon, lovely news.

I am convinced mine is a boy too, not found out and didn't want to but so excited now to meet him/her in 8 weeks :)

Wipes... last time I was in Tesco they had multipacks of Pampers wipes on offer at 4.89. I still had some £2 vouchers cos I didn't want to buy their nappies, so got a 6 pack of wipes for 2.89. They were also doing 6 muslins for 2.32 I think it was? Not sure when the offers end though?

Nappies, both Huggies and Pampers size ones leaked with my giant! Pampers were worst though as they leaked poo. I've managed to swap most of them, but of course this only works if they're in retail packaging. Still got 4 starter pack packets and one big box to offload, I'm running out of different shops that stock my preferred alternative. :D. I don't dare do too many in the same shop.

Sammie, that sounds so good - someone playing with my hair and a massage! Ok, I think I will have to train my children to do this!

Aimless, thanks for reminder. I will be parking at Tesco this evening when going for my acupuncture, so might have to pop in. I haven't got any muslin cloths yes, and would like to get some.

Ooops yes was me, sorry! I haven't had an omlette in ages, might make one at the weekend when DH is at work as he won't eat eggs.

We have got most of the smaller stuff new but I got a secondhand moses basket for £15 and they gave me a little bouncy/rocking chair thing for free. MIL bought our pram, I'm not saying how much it cost but its more expensive than any of the prices mentioned on here so far :eek::eek: I liked a cheaper one just as much but MIL and DH preferred the expensive one and it is definately better build so I was happy to go with that!

I love tuna mayo, both in pitta and bagel! I am just trying to go low on tuna whilst pregnant, so we didn't have much of it, probably about 2 cans in the 5 months!

I've bought a new mattress for the basket and the cot. I'm saving on other things so I can buy the really important things new. Just get a bit fed up sometimes as some of my friends can be a bit sniffy and think I should be buying new everything. Its ok for them as they aren't having to buy them. I've given up telling people what I've got and from where cos it was driving me mad. I can only do what in able at the end of the day.

Oh God the crap I've had from my obnoxious cousin about baby stuff... we had lectures at Christmas cos SHE was sat reading to her bump from 10 weeks apparently (knowing her - Take A Break or the Twilight saga) and how she fed her baby perfectly (while ramming Quavers into her toddler's gob to stop her talking) etc etc... and the utter moral indignation when I mentioned we were going to find out what sex it was - not that it's any of her business!

Reason we wanted to find out what sex it was - to know what we could grab in terms of hand-me-downs from different people! Not logic that actually has any impact on Madam Everything-New-And-Designer! Half the stuff we have is borrowed or passed down from relatives - things like the swingy chair which cost a fortune new, a moses basket that's been used for under a week and stuff.

I'm STILL peed off with the way she went on and utterly ruined MY Christmas at MY mother's just running her mouth off trying to paint me as a crap mother-to-be already and generally showing off at my expense. It's so annoyed me that I'm likely to have to miss out on a once-in-a-lifetime thing seeing my parents being made Mayor and Mayoress of the hometown for the year because she'll demand an invite and I'll be almost due to pop levels of pregnant by then and I'm not prepared to be the butt of her showing off again that I won't go if she goes and I'm flipping livid. So sick of her railroading her way into my family's lives - they fostered her for a while when she went off the rails as a teen - after her making false rape allegations, stealing from us and generally trying to wreck my mind she went into a home, but now she's like always there - ignored my requests for no children at my wedding (because we didn't want a day of "oooh when you gonna have a baby hold the baby when are you going to get round to it" reminders of the infertility thing) and showed up at the venue anyway so I couldn't do anything about it, and her performance at Christmas just shows she's going to use me finally having a baby as a renewed route to be obnoxious toward me.

Yes, so we didn't spend hundreds of pounds on credit cards on fancy designer gear the baby will wear once... and shockingly - we have clothes from supermarkets and hand-me-downs. We're not the ones up to our eyeballs in debt living in a house with mould down the walls because we can't prioritise paying our rent and think the world owes us a living (she sits and rants about the mould but refuses to even try to clean it - that's beneath her)... and yet SHE'S the one sitting there holding court running her mouth off about ME being a crap parent to a baby that's not even born yet?!

Feel like she's driving me out of my own family because of the way she behaves. She spent enough time trying to ruin and overshadow my entire teenage years and twenties - she is NOT going to use my daughter to continue this campaign. She ruined her own family life by her own actions - and yet she's stolen mine.

    Sorry - minor rant there!

Oh and she sat there with her kid opening Christmas presents (and my family had rallied around and got her a HUUUUUGE pile) and didn't say thank you once - or get her child to say thank you (the kid's more than capable of doing so).... then complained when she took the kid into a room my dogs were in, that I'd warned her not to go in as they were very exciteable because of all the people around - and started being melodramatic that the dog had licked her bairn.
