Most amazing possible - 20 week scan was all positive - baby is measuring well and everything looks healthy. Only slight hiccup is a low lying placenta they want to look at again at 32 weeks to see if it's moved. I've been convinced since getting the BFP we're having a little boy, and today we were told it's a little girl! Over the moon.

Congrats on team pink and happy birthday!!! x

Lovecrafting, thats basically what we get. How come ur DLA stopped? Its hard when ur used to a certain amount to live off of then it drops :( U r getting ur free school meals and healthy start vouchers too arent u? Can u not apply for a community care grant towards baby things? If ur really panicking about it all? Hoping ur DH gets a job soon hun xx What is it he does?? xx

the dla stopped because dd2's tube was taken out of her stomache so she aparently dosent need help anymore. were used to being on double this at least i am looking at what goes out and to be honest i dont know how to budget. aparently i cant have a comunity care grant because hubby went onto jobseekers and hasnt been on it for six months. he is a hgv driver but because of his age he needs a medical for his licence. the next available apointment for this is the middle of the month, he needs to be in work right now but he just cant see that. i think were going to fall out today

I'm the same at my 20wk scan last thursday they said I had a low lying placenta and that I'd to be rescanned at 32. They didn't seem to worried so I'm just glad of another look at baby before its born!

Congrats on the girl and happy birthday!

Congratulations on team pink Dinah :T

I have a quick (and probably stupid :p) question, is there a limit to how many eggs you should eat per week when pg? I know they need to be cooked properly but was just wondering if you could eat too many?

    xx

    Congratulations Dinah!!!!

Well, we are getting some stuff second hand, and some bits new. Moses baskets - used, will be ordering new mattresses after our holiday. Cots - hoping to get Mamas & Papas Sherwood ones on ebay, I love oak... If not - will find something else. I am not willing to pay more than £75 for each of them (I know I can get much cheaper ones as well, but I do like these ons), I know I can get some polish made ones for less than that. Will buy new mattresses, even if I have to argue with OH about it.

I am hoping to buy new pushchair/travel system. It is hard enough trying to find he twin ones we like/can lift/fit through the door, and the ones we found so far go for silly amounts on ebay (possibly £50 less than new!!!!!), so that is going to be our big expense. There are few other things I would like to ge, and I can't see them on ebay, so they may have to be new... (BT baby monitor & pacifier, the playmat/gym that I like, bouncer chairs that last to toddler years...). Oh, and the car seats have to be new - I am not going to compromise on this....

Woohoo! :) I seemed to have developed a thing for egg mayo and I also really fancy an omelette. I blame whoever was talking about egg and salad creme pittas the other day (Lisa I think it might have been) :D

  • Awww, congratulations on team pink Dinah, what a fab birthday present :)

I second Redhead, not heard of a limit on the amount of eggs you can eat :)

I am planning on most things being second hand tbh, we have very kindly been offered a Quinny travel system free off OH's boss so hopefully have that covered. We have most of the cotbed that DS used (I say most as we are missing one side which OH miraculously decided to leave behind when we moved house), so we are planning on buying a crib/cot that the baby can use until he is ready to use the cotbed as a bed - this will be second hand, only planning to replace the mattress.

I got my hair done this lunchtime, it feels so good! Why do I love so much to have my hair done? It doesn't have to be anything fancy, I used to let children play with my hair, and put them in pony tails or anything else.
