im going to find out if you still get that maternity grant tho, i dont know if its stopped or is still going.
You're not the only woman - I hate shopping tooShoe shopping is my worse nightmare, followed by shopping for everything else. The only time I enjoyed shopping was for my wedding dress and that was because there were no queues, no crowds and no pressure
If you mean the Sure Start Maternity Grant it depends on whether you've been claiming certain benefits and it's your first child.

I had a little bit put away for a holiday this summer and have had to use that very frugally. Since my ex OH has absconded I can't rely on him for a thing and so am just trying to be as thrifty as possible. My cousin phoned the other night to ask if I wanted to buy her pram off her for £450. Must have been made if gold leaf but I pointed out that was more than I could spend on everything let alone just a pram!!DS1 born June 2000

 what pram is it? i suppose the prices of prams are ridiculous nowadays though!!! i managed to pick up a mamas and papas pliko pramette with matching car seat and base, rain cover, cosytoes and umbrella for £60 off gumtree, apparently it cost over £400 new!! no way would i spend that on a pram but then again maybe im just tight!!

My son is 18 in july,so this pregnancy has been like having my first all over again.
I remember only using huggies with him,so I hope they are still good as mostly have packs of these stocked up.:happyloveBaby girl born 27/2/12:happylove

I think it very much depends on the size/shape of the baby as well as to whether nappies leak or not. Amelia has been in Huggies mainly since birth with the odd Pampers and we've not had any leaks yet (touch wood...).
Huggies are made by Kimberly Clark now.
Oh and not that I'm rubbing it in but I've just had pate on toast for a snack and it was soooo yummy! I've been looking forward to having that for nine months!
Mmmmm pate. I cant wait for this, sushi, prawns and a glass of Baileys:T

It was a mamas and papas one but no idea what. Said she had paid £650 for it. I just can't justify that on a pram.
I'm just doing everything as cheap as possible, maybe I'm tight aswell, but when I only have myself to rely on every penny counts.DS1 born June 2000
