Hugs Rebekah, that must have taken some courage. FWIW I think you've done the right thing, they're there to make sure you're ok as well as baby and I guess that's easier for them if they know everything. I'm disappointed she wasn't more sensitive with you though

LMM- the pics are very nice. the detail in them is amazing. did yuo get these done separately? i am going to ask SUCH a dumb question. what is the difference in 3d and 4d? i told DH about the 4d scans and him being a physist said that is impossible. :rotfl:hope you are feeling better now LMM. xxx

amazing how people feel about the money issue as at first i used to thik i would love to stay at home and look after kids, but like it was mentioned when you start earning money and you can spend, to just using one partner's pay i do get worried. DH was brrought up with his mum being at home and so he has the same idea for our little one too but i am starting to worry. what is this book called missmonkeymoo? i just read you will post details later. lol

It will feel like an age but when you get there you will look back and think where did the time go
On the threads here there are lots of ways to reduce costs etc. I tend to work through a new thread at about 2am most nights. It is amazing how much you can save without thinking about it. My wage has gone down by £1200 a month and I was barely getting by but once you have to it is surprising how much you spend without realising.Overdraft = £1000 Emergency fund = £2500

At what point are you planning to have the first visitors when bubba is born? Is anyone going to have the grandparents waiting at the hospital while in labour?
My mum passed away 4 years ago, and my Auntie is like my 2nd mum. We've been discussing over the years how if I ever got pregnant I would want my Auntie in the delivery room with me (bearing in mind I was single all this time!). She told me how excited she was the other day about being at the birth, I havent even mentioned it to OH yet!
Hoping he takes it well otherwise this could be the start of some awkward conversations
LMM those baby photos are great!
OH's - my oh is absolutely fantastic around the house. He works full time and also does most of the housework and since I got my bfp he has been doing the cooking as it makes me feel sick. Im so lucky :T
Ive been feeling sick again the last few days, not actually been sick yet but was hoping the ms had gone for good. Had a rough time with it for the first 16 weeks or so
Hugs for all who need them xx:j:T Gorgeous twin girls born 1st Nov 2012 :T:j0 -
hmm good idea. think i will be surfing the next a lot to see how i can make money if i dont end up coming back to work. the good thing with my work is apparently HR said i can apply to work from home more, and also go part-time. seems so tempting and that way i will have some money coming in. i am scared that in an argument DH will tell me he pays for us! lolBecame Mrs H on the 1st of October 2011!!

The whole work/stay at home thing is tricky. My mum was a SAHM (as were most peoples mum’s I knew), and I always thought that I would be one day too, but I’ve worked hard to get to where I am now and I really enjoy my job. Plus it’s the sort of field that I think would be hard to get back into if I took a career break. Realistically, we’d struggle on just 1 salary as well. My current plan is to return full time after 9 months maternity, and do at least 6 months of full time (to avoid having to repay any maternity pay
, and best for my job/promotion prospects), but we have the advantage of a fantastic nursery on site and my employer is really family friendly/flexible as well. If I really want more time at home, I’ll drop down to 4 days a week after 6 months. We’re currently thinking that I’ll go part time after number 2 or when number 1 starts school, as it’s so much harder to juggle before/after school clubs, holidays etc than all day nursery care so I may as well take advantage of being able to work full time relatively easily.

I'm too damn hot!! I feel all puffy but don't look too puffy but this week I have had to go up a glove size in clinic as my hand apparently think they are swollen. They feel weird and puffy but don't look huge. Anyway I'm vey uncomfortable and warm.
Thought I had hit jackpot today. Woke up after sleeping like a log last night. Went to Uni. Between patients cancels log as not turning up I got sent home at eleven. Was starving so had some lunch put a wash in and thought I'll have a quick nap before I get down to serious organizing and tidying. Four hours later luckily my normal alarm telling me to pick dd up from nursery went off. And I'm still tired and sweaty lol.
Is it just te anaemia making me so tired or is it down to being 34 weeks pregnant and huge?love you lots like jelly tots0 -
i know littlemoog. its hard. this is a new role for me (since August last year) and its quite different and challenging. I am not sure but will have to discuss it with DH as we could survive on his pay, thanks to him. i am unsure still... i need my own money. lol. i see my brother and his wife struggle with childcare etc and both of themhave to work and she hates it. i guess the grass is greener issue here!!!
hugs rjh, it could be because your anaemic? try and have a rest if you can. xxBecame Mrs H on the 1st of October 2011!!
