Today we've hit the 38th week!! Bubba is moving loads today - he's really having a party in there!! Got crappy back ache so today going to take it a lot more easy. Saying that had fun this morning sorting out the kitchen cupboard we are going to use for bubbas sterilisation kit. Bottle steriliser is now sitting happily on the kitchen counter ready to be used!
I'm also into crafting as well - got a lovely big cross stitch i'm working on http://www.bothythreads.com/thru-noahs-pi-128.html?image=0. So far going well without any hitches. Am very good at starting and making fatal mistakes!!But I do love noahs ark.

Hi
got to see usual MW this morning, its her last day today and she was worried at not seeing everyone before she leaves and was glad i was there. new MW is called amanda although not met her current mw says she is lovely. no chance of an extra scan unless i pay £70, which I can but have decided to be sensible and keep the money for more important things the baby might need.
baby has moved, over the last few days i have felt more on my left then right as usual and it seems she has moved across to the left and is no longer breech. she has her head down and all in the right place. kind of hoping she is getting ready and doesnt want to hang around, but i dont want to jump the list too soon i at least want to get to 36wks preferably no earlier then 1st sept(i want an extra yr of home learning and development before school).
whilst there i met 2 other ladies on first pregnancies who were overdue and totally fed up of waiting and feeling tired and aching, hugs to all overdue and waiting, im not very patient anyway so dreading going over.
RE 2nd hand - we have said from the start we dont mind what we get given or buy from boot sales/charity shops but it seems there hasnt been much out there lately. I did by some lovely pure cotton mother care blankets for 50p each at a bootsale the other week but not much else really.
I just check that it hasnt been over washed/faded/bobbly and if it looks like new then can presume its barely been used/worn.
Not sure what to do with myself now should go and get a bit of shopping but cant be bothered, got work later but only a couple of hrs.
Labour vibes to all who need/want them xRachel

Don't blame me ladies, maybe ask those in front of you to keep their legs crossed.
I'm glad you have a plan now Rebekah.
Good news that you finally managed to get pictures and DVD of little man LMM. Shame he kept hiding his face. At both if our anomoly scans baby was sleeping and didn't want to wake up. I think that's why he's not a big wriggler. Think he likes hs sleep, just like daddy
Had a lovely day yesterday. I got to meet jovi's little Max for the first time, he's so tinyAfterwards I went for a wonder around Manchester until it was time to catch the train home (was waiting to get the same one as DH so I could get a lift from the station). I was pooped when I got home and my feet and ankles were huge! Also the top of my bump was really sore. Feel a lot better now though

Clarissa - I love cross stitch, and I have done that exact Noah's Ark. I finished it about a year ago. It looks brilliant when finished, but only really comes to life when you do the backstitch. I'm about to start an ABC afghan for baby . I want to do a sampler, but I have found it's hard to find samplers with enough stitching in. They tend to be quite simple so that they are accessible for beginners, whereas I want more of a challenge. I'm thinking of doing the Bothy threads Princess castle instead, as I love all of their kits.
We have two really good boot sales locally with hundreds of sellers, so I know I'll be able to pick up lots of bits over the summer. At least I will if the weather ever improves! With my daughter I had a lot more money so insisted on absolutely everything being new, but that definitely won't be the case this time.Cross Stitch Cafe member no.800 -
Can somebody re-assure me.... very hard sharp pains right now. could this be my little boy giving me a kick in? Everything I have felt so far has been gentle like being tickled but this is sharp and hurts.:jBaby Boy born December 20120

Where are they? It could be baby or it could be round ligament pain, that is really sharp. It's usually on the sides of your bump quite low down.

morning ladies. gosh i got so busy as soon as i got into work! how are you all? very quick thread.:) interesting to read about the pay as i am so clueless about it. i only met my HR lady the other day and was still confused. thought my company was ok but clearly they are a bit stingy.
from what i may have learnt, i think the first 3 months is full pay and then next 3 half pay and after that nothing? i am allowed to take up to a year. hmmm weird. i am still lost about how its calculated etc. i am useless at things like that.
Rebekah - glad to hear that you've now got a plan for bubba, so good luck for tuesday!!
clarissa glad you spoek to your mum too.
last night m y mum started again on eating well so i told her that the midwife hasnt said anything so i am fine. that kept her quiet. its annoying me. just been feeling tired and grumpy all week. yesterday was the first time, when i felt backache and i was so uncomfy esp as i sit with my back up on the sofa and legs strecthed forward. i wasp acing up and down yesterday. thank fully i managed to sleep ok ish after tossing and turning around. stupid headaches as well.
hope everyone else is ok?

right in the middle just below my belly button... notes say I have a anterior placenta so even though i'm 21 weeks tomorrow... i usually only feel soft movements on my side higher up x:jBaby Boy born December 20120 -

It could be baby but it could just be that you've overdone it maybe. I've had all sorts of niggles and pains over the weeks. I would say try not to worry, take a couple of paracetemol if you need to and if it continues and you're still concerned you can always give your midwife a call.
