thanks for everyones replies about my situation, me and my partner had a good chat last night and i'm concerned that if something did go wrong while he's being turned how would i feel so i'm opting for the c-section just incase, my partner thinks it may be happening for a reason because on my first son when i went in to labour i got pre-eclampsia and my blood pressure was sky high and wasnt coming down so they got me to push early so maybe me having this one a week early is actually a blessing.
does anyone know any techniques to calm me down though because i am actually terrified, couldnt eat anything last night and woke up almost being sick and still feeling ill now which im guessing is nerves, was crying last night to because i'm so afraid as i had never even considered having him via c-section so its a big shock. These last 3 weeks are going to be absolute hell just want to get it over with so i can actually enjoy him because my pregnancy has been soo horrible since the start so just want it over now and get my little man out0 -
Vest extenders are ideal for those who will be using cloth nappies
Although baby boy here is 5 months and still fits into 0-3 vests with a cloth bum! :eek:The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -
Vickynleon, sorry I cant help but hope someone can help you calm down a bit and feel better xx
I think I remember someone on here saying a while ago that they are over 6ft tall? Unless I dreamt that! Was wondering if whoever it is could give me some pointers on where to get long maternity trousers? Just casual ones, the only ones I have seen are on Long Tall Sally and they are business suit trousers. Im 6ft so really struggling to find anything. Can find Tall and can find Maternity but not both together IFKWIM. Thanks in advance
Lots of luck for this afternoon FN xx:j:T Gorgeous twin girls born 1st Nov 2012 :T:j0 -
Vickynleon, iam really sorry for the way you are feeling, but meditation really helps to calm your nerves down. maybe you can try that? also there are cds you can get to help you relax. see if you find something online. apparently something called the rainbow track is very good. hugs. xxBecame Mrs H on the 1st of October 2011!!

For those of you who remember Dinah - theres an update from her on DFW here http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=54088661&postcount=3636
Oh how sadit was funny as I was thinking of her the other day. Sending lots of love and prayers that little Grace's lung grow good tissue.
Fluff good luck for your sweep this afternoon. And thank you for knowledge on breech births, although I wasn't sure whether to laugh or cry at "trashed love tunnel":o
Rebekah although its too early to know what position my baby will be in, I'm still worrying about the possibility of a c section. Feel a bit like you the body is kind of designed for this, but I'm not going to be a complete twit and refuse any intervention. I'm also aware of the possible extra complications for me as my body doesn't heal well anyway. I just want to be aware of potential pros and cons without googling it. We all know google is not our friend
Can't remember who just said about the size one nappies, but working on four weeks at 10 nappies is 280 nappies so hopefully I'll have enough in my stash and a few spare for mishaps.
I need to do some tidying so I think enough lazing about now!:j Baby boy arrived 22nd August 2012 :j

Apparently I have underestimated how many Nappies babies need lol. Despite this being my second and I'm meant to know stuff I really don't. I have only got three small packs of size one lol. Might. Red to visit shops tomorrow lol.
Currently trying to get my house in order as oh started moving stuff in while i was visiting home. There is not enough space for me him
And my dd never mind once baby comes. I think we are going to have to move ideally in the next monh cos if I have a planned section that's probably gpnna be around 7th August so need settled before then. Still holding out hope that my other half will get a phone call this week saying yes we have a transfer u can move to Dorset next week. Not looking hopeful tho but I know as soon as we sign a new contract on a house here in wales, that phone call will come!love you lots like jelly tots0 -
I wouldn't worry too much about nappies, most corner shops sell them if it's really urgent and loads of people pop round so easy to ask them to bring some. Having too many can be a nightmare if you lose receipts etc. xThe frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0

fluff - good luck with your sweep. hope it's not too bad.
re names - we had a name for a boy picked out even before we knew it was going to be a boy. We were planning to call him after his grandfathers. In the last few weeks however we began swaying towards another set of names but now I feel guilty about not wanting to name him after grandfathers. I know it's probably silly of me to feel guilty but I also know how much my dad would be pleased if the LO was named after him. But then we both like the other names better now. We haven't told the names to anyone though as it's our decision and everyone else will find out once he's born. I think we'll see what the baby looks like and then he will either get one or the other set of names.
re nappies - we have Pampers size 1 (163) and size 2 (27) which we got on sale 1/3 off. No Huggies as ASDA voucher wouldn't print and then I found lots of comments on the internet that Huggies are no use for boys. A colleague at work who also has a little boy said Huggies were leaking so decided not to complain to ASDA about voucher not printing.
Yesterday I was browsing the net reading about vitamin K injections etc and came across this website with loads of interesting articles and even more interesting comments below.
Here's one of the articles I found interesting but there are loads more (i.e. about benefits of delayed cord clamping) and I stayed up late because I couldn't stop reading.

Have a good day and sorry for not mentioning everyone - had a horrible night and now not feeling great and my brain is packing up.0 -
Baby names - The baby I lost in 2005 was named Joshua Lachlan. This baby has been given the name Jacob Anthony. (Anthony is my partners, my granddad's and my brothers name so had to be in there somewhere lol, my other brother also has Anthony as a middle name) If baby had been female she would have been Caitlin Rose after MIL.
Speaking of my lost baby, my nan gave me something the other day. When I lost the baby I had bought a few bits already, the first outfit I bought I absolutely loved, it was a little cream cord 2 piece. When I lost the baby I asked my nan to get rid of everything for me and she gave them all to a family friend who was pregnant. Well she went upstairs and came back down with the little cream 2 piece, she'd given everything else away but that because she knew it meant so much to me so it's been waiting 7 years for a little baby to wear it. x
Cake4brains, I'm 6ft2 hun but afraid I can't help on the long length maternity trousers as I am still in all my pre-pregnancy clothes.
27 weeks tomorrow and work have rung and asked if I can meet them in our local Sainsbury's to sort out my maternity leave. Hmmm, I didn't think about it when I said yes, not quite sure how I'm going to walk there and back.
Ikkle xYou never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.
xx Mama to a gorgeous Cranio Baby xx

OH has a really unusual name and my name is not very common either so we both like it that we didn't often come across our namesakes! I love OH name so much I would love to use that but I can't stand the thought of Little X or X Jnr *shudders* although I am named after my Dad, just the feminine form of his name but the nicknames once you shorten them down change the vowell sounding so no problems with knowing who is being called out for / spoken too... the only thing is when I lived at home he used to open my post because a quick glance and he thought it was for him!
Oh dear, the name I want for my baby is one of those listed abovebut I've heard it's going down in popularity ... I honestly never counted the name along with the others as I've never met anyone with that name (or any baby) and I think it's even outside the top 30 most popular names (or thereabouts).
Sorry to hear about Dinah, I send her much love and hope for the best.
Robyn – great to hear that, let's hope we all have our babies by due date. Well, you never know!0
