Mother in law gone. YAY. Need a relaxing day today as I been dizzy past few days. Dunno if its the stress,, low bp, or an ear balance thing as my ears have been making fuzzy noises too. Prob a bit of all 3!Although I do need to get the hospital bags finalised. And then just lightly potter around. Will be taking 2 naps today too.0

Oh yes I remember this irritating time for clothing! Once I was bigger - like now I found the under the bump ones more comfy again. Although I have a squishy bum down there not head so may be different for you. I mostly wear and still do - leggings. and I know it had been said before but I cannot under estimate the value of silky/shiny/nighties!!! OMG makes turning over in bed SOOOOOOOOOO much easier!! I just pull one side of the nighty as I turn and I almost fall over :rotfl:An absolute god send for the sore hips ladies ... I wish I had got one earlier I really do. The itching is normal ... t'is just your skin expanding. I'm always scritching lol.My work maternity trousers and my yoga trousers are getting tight now too rj and I'm only 28 weeks. I thought they were going to last the whole pregnancy, so don't know what I'm going to do if they get to the stage I can't wear them. I'm also finding that if I wear over the bump trousers at the moment that my tummy has started to itch (don't know if it's friction causing this as they're constantly having to be hoiked back up when they fall down), but if I wear underbump, they aren't comfy as Bean is head-down now.0 -

Names is a subject not to be mentioned in our house - I dread telling OH my favourite girls names because he blows them out of the water immediately for being too unusual. I could understand if they were totally wacky but they are generally only slightly unusual such as Florence or Jemima - so they are actual names and not made up spellings. He wants something more traditional (read popular!). Strangely I don't have a problem with popular and traditional boys names which we have some that we both like, but girls names...well thank god we've got another 20+ weeks to decide :rotfl:
Ikkle- you have done great with the nappies :T I am trying something similar but haven't been quite as successful as you. You can be my inspiration
I'm sure everyone knows but if you sign up to Mamas and Papas they send you a £10 gift card via e-mail. HTH someone. My entire family have been signed up
My DH is just the same, I really liked Freya and Briony, but he totally vetoed them
We ended up with a list of 10 for each and he devised a complicated ranking system in a spreadsheet to combine our preferences and get a top 3! :rotfl: He's such a geek! Luckily we both really liked the top 3 boys and 2 of the girls so they've become the shortlists! Little monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 2016

Yo same situ here really. She isn't transverse though but breech. I have the same 2 options as you and when they eventually scan me I will opt for the ecv turning. The chances of something going wrong are small. And if I end up in caesarean then at least I tried to give her a chance of a nuatral delivery rather than just go for the section. That and tbh I am scared of the aftermath mess of the section.vickynleon wrote: »hi hope it ok to post in here, im currently 35+3 weeks pregnant with my second son and been for a scan today and they have said the baby is lying transverse, they have given me 2 options, i can either go in for a procedure in about 2 weeks where they turn the baby but the specialist did say there can be risks such as baby's heart rate dropping or waters breaking or my second option is to go in at 39 weeks and have a c-section. just wondering if anyone else has been through this because i am terrified and really starting to panic, i'm just so glad i asked for a scan because i've been having very bad pain or i wouldnt of known and had problems when my labour started.0 -
Midwife's just phoned. I'm going in for a sweep at half two this afternoon. Exciting! Any top tips? Shall I dose up with a couple of paracetamol first? It can be a bit painful, can't it?"Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0

Ooh good luck fluffnutter - hope it all goes well and has the desired effect. I can't see it doing any harm taking the paracetamols beforehand - they recommend this before you get waxed. lolEnjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170

It depends on the breech position. If the feet are first rather than bottom there is more chance of the cord coming out first around the feet. They are scared of the cord getting squased in the birth canal and therefore cutting off the blood supply. The other thing is the head being last to come out that baby may take its first breath in the birth canal and inhale fluid/s. And/or the cord might be around the babies neck and again thats the last thing to come out. But I might consider it post scan when we know where the cord is and exactly what position she is in. But most of the time they will say they wont deliver naturally as they have lost the skills to be able to aswell! I dunno the natural part of me wants to let my body do its thing as they have for centuries but the above senarios also scare me.little_miss_moneysaver wrote: »Vicky sorry I don't know much about beingtransverse etc as only 29+5, but I have question about breech. This may be me being me again, but why do drs opt straight for major surgery for breech when for many centuries women have been giving birth to breech babies for years? I mean they're in a hospital, I'd understand being more cautious at home. I think I'd rather give birth to a breech than opt for major surgery. Transverse? no I may consider a c section for that one! Fingers crossed baby turns into a good position for you.0
