One of ours is towards the end of the top 40 names and is relatively normal I think. The other is French origin but cool in a geeky way. My mum
Is all your son will have I live with that name for the rest of his life. It's not like we want to call him
Spaceshipbum-face it's a normal name!!!!love you lots like jelly tots0 -
At the end of the day it's not her child. I would never call a child what half my relatives are called - some because they are weird and some because they are just horrible (including my name). But times move on. I'm quite vocal, I'd tell her if she wants to name something to get a dog!! But then I can be rather direct. lolReduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

We have a shortlist for each, and we're not telling anyone what the names are, beacause we don't want anyone else's opinions! All our names are real traditional English names, just a little more uncommon than someit's your baby, go with what you like. I have a slightly unusual/rare name, and I love that I hardly ever meet another one

Hello everyone,
Survived day 1 - daytime tv is really pants isn't it!!
AMC lovely to hear from you, its funny we've also painted bubbas room in a soft yellow colour. We've done everything you could do to the room, new plaster, new ceiling, even new dividing wall between that room and the big bedroom which we'll be moving into shortly. We bought our house last august and are slowly doing it up room by room! Love your lightshade. We've been a lot less imaginative and just bought a fairly neutral one from Homebase. We've also just invested in a lovely new washing machine. The previous one was an old one that came with the house, the new one has a huge 9k drum. Its fantastic!!
Hubby has given me orders to pack my hospital bag today, its part packed but still need to buy a few more bits. I guess he is just starting to get worried about the whole thing!! Ive already bought maternity pads and disposable nippple pads from Boots. I know some friends went and bought loads of these, ive decided to only buy enough to get me through the first couple of days and then will buy more. I should know by then if they are ok!
Today i've got a bit more of a busy day. The nursery furniture is due to be delivered and also got midwife appoint. Wanting to get into the birthing centre at the hospital but need to have an assessment done. Pregnancy been low risk throughout so far, except a mini panic when we thought the baby was breech. After scan last week we found out he is now in the correct head down position!! phew...
Vicky - We were told at 34wk midwife appointment that baby was lying head up breech. We tried everything to get him to move. At 36wk appoint midwife still wasn't sure where his head was (and I was convinced he was still breech). Went for scan and surprise surprise he'd moved into correct position. We'd already decided we were not going to have the ECV if thats what it came down to, to get him to move. I'd accepted that we were looking at caesarian. Friends have had this and it doesn't sound too bad. We did however try everything to get him to move, including putting frozen peas on his head! shinning a light a bottom of pelvis, bum in the air positions and hubby talking to bump (that one i loved!!). There is still plenty of time for bubba to move!
RJH - We decided ages ago on the name for our little man. His middle name will be same as his grandad's and we've just gone for a popular name for his first name. We'd done the modern thing and told everyone what we'd decided. Hoping he doesn't turn out to be a she as we'll end up back to square one! Although saying that we'd seen his "jimmy rodger" on the 20wk scan, so i'd be very surprised if he turned out to be a girl! lol2025 financial goals & challenges!

I have 400 - pampers and huggies sizes 1, 2 and 3. Only spent 50p though lol
How many size 1 you have?
Can't believe you spent just 50p on nappies:money:?!?!?! I know you said that you managed to print twice the asda voucher (I couldn't . Did you press back and printed again?) plus your hubby. How you got the rest for free?:smileyheaBaby Aida is here :j:j:jBaby fund - £3140/£60000 -

I only got one voucher and my OH got one voucher hun, but you could try another laptop if you have one and see if that will let you print? You get coupons from things like the Bounty pack, huggies club let you print off vouchers from their website and now and again also do a giveaway for full packs of nappies, and the pampers you need to buy for the Boots parenting club changing bag I got free cos of a 342 offer. I just saved coupons and waited for special offers to come.
Pampers size 1 - 54
Huggies size 1- 135
Pampers size 2 - 62
Pampers size 3 - 95
Huggies size 3 - 54
I didn't get many size 2 because the sizes overlap - size 1 are 4-11lb size 2 are 6-13lb and size 3 are 9-20lbYou never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

Morning all!
Hope everyone slept well. Did skim back, but feel a bit fuzzy headed and forgot things!
Aida I have 1096 nappies. I have 324 size 1, 270 size 2, 306 size threes then rest are 4 and 4+. I got most of mine with coupons when the nappies were on offer. Huggies ones in boots had like 1/3 off then I had a few £2 coupons so worked out pennies. So look out at supermarkets, boots, superdrug etc for offers to go with your coupons. I think bought two bigger boxes of size 3&4 ages ago in a baby event thinking that I'd be on SMP so money would be tighter. But the bulk I got by doubling my tesco vouchers so got £80 of nappies for effectively free
Clarissa it's sad as once you've been off a while you know where to find your fab programmes during the day lol. I've not got to JK yet tho! Well done for surviving day one at home
Names we decided on one a while back, but OH didn't want to tell people as then baby would be known as that and then we might change our minds once he is born. We told our mums, bf and my sis and now bf calls him by that name and now OH has decided he's not sure! We've two boys names we like. Both kinda 'normal' names really. Our bf has an unusual for her boy due any day,is normally short for another name and she said the amount of people that have said they don't like it is loads! Or they ask is it short for.....? She's like no. My view is others have had their chance to name their children now it's my go! And I think Twinklie said if they want to name something buy a pet!
Vicky sorry I don't know much about beingtransverse etc as only 29+5, but I have question about breech. This may be me being me again, but why do drs opt straight for major surgery for breech when for many centuries women have been giving birth to breech babies for years? I mean they're in a hospital, I'd understand being more cautious at home. I think I'd rather give birth to a breech than opt for major surgery. Transverse? no I may consider a c section for that one! Fingers crossed baby turns into a good position for you.
OH bought me a cuppa in bed before he left, but daft cat is looking bemused that there is no chocolate croissant this morning. She loves them, I'm not sure she knows she's a cat really. She's fallen asleep in a huff lol.
Looks like another rainy day today. I need to do some gentle tidying today. But first I think time for my mid morning snoozewhy I wake up so early I don't know, but I'm tired already. Hope bubba likes napping as much as I do!
Hope everyone has a good day. Hugs to those who need/want them and labour vibes to those who need them too xxx:j Baby boy arrived 22nd August 2012 :j

AidaI forgot to say, the Huggies pack you get with asda has further coupons inside for money off Huggies. Or it did when I got mine. Seen different looking packs now though.
Ikkle I thought the same about size two nappies, but then people scared me that if bubba is a bit bigger size one might not be big enough so I went for size twos. Ah all free ones though:j Baby boy arrived 22nd August 2012 :j
