possible cord prolapse (as the head is rather ideal for plugging the birth canal nicely)

risk of birth before full dilation has occurred, possibly resulting in a situation where the body is partially birthed and the head not able to.

Mother in law gone. YAY. Need a relaxing day today as I been dizzy past few days. Dunno if its the stress,, low bp, or an ear balance thing as my ears have been making fuzzy noises too. Prob a bit of all 3!Although I do need to get the hospital bags finalised. And then just lightly potter around. Will be taking 2 naps today too.

Oh yes I remember this irritating time for clothing! Once I was bigger - like now I found the under the bump ones more comfy again. Although I have a squishy bum down there not head so may be different for you. I mostly wear and still do - leggings. and I know it had been said before but I cannot under estimate the value of silky/shiny/nighties!!! OMG makes turning over in bed SOOOOOOOOOO much easier!! I just pull one side of the nighty as I turn and I almost fall over :rotfl:An absolute god send for the sore hips ladies ... I wish I had got one earlier I really do. The itching is normal ... t'is just your skin expanding. I'm always scritching lol.

Names is a subject not to be mentioned in our house - I dread telling OH my favourite girls names because he blows them out of the water immediately for being too unusual. I could understand if they were totally wacky but they are generally only slightly unusual such as Florence or Jemima - so they are actual names and not made up spellings. He wants something more traditional (read popular!). My DH is just the same, I really liked Freya and Briony, but he totally vetoed them We ended up with a list of 10 for each and he devised a complicated ranking system in a spreadsheet to combine our preferences and get a top 3! :rotfl: He's such a geek! Luckily we both really liked the top 3 boys and 2 of the girls so they've become the shortlists!

Yo same situ here really. She isn't transverse though but breech. I have the same 2 options as you and when they eventually scan me I will opt for the ecv turning. The chances of something going wrong are small. And if I end up in caesarean then at least I tried to give her a chance of a nuatral delivery rather than just go for the section. That and tbh I am scared of the aftermath mess of the section.

Midwife's just phoned. I'm going in for a sweep at half two this afternoon. Exciting! Any top tips? Shall I dose up with a couple of paracetamol first? It can be a bit painful, can't it?

Ooh good luck fluffnutter - hope it all goes well and has the desired effect. I can't see it doing any harm taking the paracetamols beforehand - they recommend this before you get waxed. lol
