Massive congrats on the birth of Joel, Ladylegs, but sorry that your birth experience was not as you wanted it.

Re paracetomel, I've had to take it twice while pregnant and that was when when I had migraines at about 20 weeks. And wasn't feeling baby moving at that stage anyway, had first movements about 23 weeks. I only ever took 1 as I was a bit paranoid, but found it really didn't do anything. Have had headaches since and not bothered taking any. When pelvic pain has been bad I've been really tempted but I just dont want to! Pelvic pain is flaring up today and OH said dont suffer, just take one but I'd rather just suffer! Am I weird?

I've got a wedding in two weeks. Am wearing my £20 maxi dress with some bling. .... and I think I was invited to the main do for ulterior motives (long story) why would I spend a small fortune? I

You'll look great, that maxi dress looks good on you.
Do tell the ulterior motives (you can tell I'm in the mood for a good gossip :D)

I'm with you on that one. I avoid taking painkillers unless the pain is really really bad. I read that if you over use them then you may get "immune" to them and they won't work as well as they should. Don't know if it's true but I figured taking too much drugs can't be good anyway.

Oh, and my sleepsuits and bodysuits are not matching - when I was buying them I had no clue they are to be worn together. But who cares if my LO wears a yellow bodysuit with bees and a blue sleepsuit with cars?
I clearly need to start learning about baby clothes, this is news to me as well. How many layers does the little one need to wear?? (Mine will be a winter baby - early Dec I think)

Mrs E I've started my super stockpile of dried goods. No1 TEABAGS!!! Hehe or coffee if you're a coffee drinker, maybe some UHT milk as a back up? In my larder I have.... Tinned toms, packets of couscous (you can get these v. Cheap on approved foods, got delivery yday 12 puts for £1), tinned veg inc baked beans, fray bentos (?so) pies, 10kgs pasta, 8kgs spag, couple kilos rice, straight to wok noodles (app food bargain), jars of pasta sauces, curry sauce etc to make quick meals with, loads of lentils, bread mixes so I can throw them in the bread maker if run out of bread. Crackers/ryvitas as a snacky thing. Also have a new bottle of oil, salt and mixed herbs :)
Household goods etc wise I've got; 60 dishwasher tablets, loads of washing powder, stocking up on toilet roll still, kitchen roll, think have 12 bottles of shower gel each, few bottles of shampoo, 8hair gels for OH, 5-6 deodorants each, 6 toothpastes and spare toothbrush heads. I've got it all written in a list. I've kinda got a list of how many I want before my official mat leave begins as once I'm on SMP I don't want to be worrying about running out of shower gel etc. can you tell I've been off since 19weeks?
Little Moog I do the same, freeze mash or boiled spuds and veg. Great time saver :)

Big labour vibes to the boldies and hugs to all that need them xxxx

This is a great list, little miss, with stuff I hadn't even thought of, oops! I am so unprepared for this little bundle of fun thats due in 9 weeks :o Was asked today if this was our first by a parent at a toddlers dance dance i teach and i said, yes, is it obvious? she replied, yes, you look like you've had sleep and you're young!! Considering I had a horrible nights sleep as hubby kept sighing everytime i turned over and then not giving me any room, I don't know whether it is a compliment or not. Lots of jumping around in the class this morning with sleeping bunnies and the like and baby boy has been active ever since - I think he thought I was trying to get him out :/ It's a class I'm covering so only one more next week and then back to the office tomorrow so he can have a rest!!

bump is very sore and achy now, already can't wait to sleep but not impressed with this awful rain! hope people have found things to make the day better and congrats ladlylegs, good luck to kelda and choclover!

My washing HAD to smell strongly or I'd wash it again! But the pure comfort is a nice smell, and I'm used to it now.
I'm asthmatic (with no symptoms unless I'm near something that triggers the allergy) and strongly smelling clothes is one of the triggers for me! I think it's one of the perfumes they use or something. Hence the eco-friendly versions I use (same for cleaning products) - asthma now all gone (just don't bring a cat near me...)

When its warm, would baby need a vest under a sleepsuit? Thought that would only be in the colder months? I suppose when baby is here we'll just use our instinct on how it should be, everyone does things differently! I've got loads of outfits so will be putting baby in those most days, sleepsuits will probably only be for bed anyway!
Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference :)
