    Congrats Ladylegs!

Hugs to those who are feeling down.

I'm still feeling naff too. Ended up coming home from work just after 10. I need to try and get rid of this cold. Have had some lunch and chilled on the sofa. Then I felt like I needed to be proactive so have sorted through the baby's wardrobe and cleared out all non baby related stuff. Blankets/sheets are now neatly folded in two piles, washed and needs to be washed and clothes are hung up ready to be washed. Went through the sleepsuits and bodysuits and hung up all those that were newborn/up to 10lbs. I only have 4/5 of each! I wanted to take 6 of each to the hospital plus a going home outfit so will need to go and buy more I think. 0-3m I have quite a bit of and we will be able to pop out and buy more of that size when baby arrives. Plus MIL hasn't bought any clothes as she wanted to buy male or female and not neutral so hopefully when baby pops out she will buy plenty to keep us going!

Can't believe I'm in the 30's on the list, eek! And next week marks 30 weeks, thats scary when it begins with a 3!

Oh and I haven't even thought about batchcooking or stockpiling yet. Must think about that soon. Those who are stockpiling, don't forget Ketchup, an essential!! Have written my hospital bag list today though, that's a start!

Big congrats ladylegs on the birth of Joel. He sounds big! To be honest what you described is my worst nightmare and why I wanted a home birth, once I'm in the hospital I'll never escape. Hope cuddles with Joel take some of the anger away now he's here safely. Maybe in time put together a formal complaint, they can't just assault you like that.

Does sounds like a crappy day for many people.
Miskha I'm with the going back to bed plan lol. Sounds like too many wrong things happening for you. Hope the boiler is safe though. Can't imagine how upsetting it must be to be told that your son may be on the spectrum. What happens now? Are they going to do some kind of proper assessment, I mean is this just the teacher's thinking? How old is he if you don't mind me asking? Sorry haven't much experience on it all. Hopefully if it's a "milder" form (sorry don't know techy terms) he'll be able to get along fine with a few adjustments.
Griggsy as I understand if your baby is growing well then your BMI is not too important. As long as youre eating well etc and not loosing weight. I thought they didn't weight us as much as the amount of weight people put on varies so much and doesn't always correlate to the baby's weight/health. I could be wrong. I got weighed at the beginning maybe 9weeks and haven't since. Good you've got the extra scans, even just for peace of mind.
What is a Laboraide? Never heard of it? Sounds like some to do with embroidery but in this context I'm guessing not!!

Myatt welcome! And congratulations :) do you know if it's a boy or girl or are you wanting a surprise? I might attempt to add you to the list of you wanted! Otherwise there's nothing else needed, just send cake to all the current members ;) hehehe
DJ hugs for the crappy day. I wonder if it's the miserable wether adding to my laziness today. Glad I don't need to go anywhere though. I've got a wedding in two weeks. Am wearing my £20 maxi dress with some bling. It's not too far, but OH has only been invited to the evening do so am bit peed cos it's two journeys for him. But they could only have so many for the ceromany etc, but was tempted to say I'd only come for the evening too. Don't think they've got a pressie list either some don't know, she's never met OH and we've been together for 6years nearly, won't be spending much on a pressie. It sounds tight, but for someone I've not seen in so long, and I think I was invited to the main do for ulterior motives (long story) why would I spend a small fortune? I'll await my lovely baby pressie on September from her ;) sending virtual crisps
Bellola hugs too for your rubbish day

Kelda good luck with the induction today, look forward to hearing your news. Looks like choclover is on the bottom bit where after two weeks after EDD they get moved. I'm sure she'll be back to back an announcement as I think she was or near two weeks over when she last posted. Hopefully having mummy cuddles by now :)

Still done nothing, just been playing on these forums and catching up with people. Am buying a Moses basket from a friend and my sister has decided she'll get it as hasn't got anything for the baby as yet so that's lovely. It's beautiful baby blue and kinda old fashioned/lacy one. Coming with two mattresses, bedding etc for £25 she only used it for 8weeks so in good nick :) I can spend that £25 getting my hair cut....happy days for me!

Sending lots of hugs, cakes and crisps to those having a rubbish day xxx

Here is the recipe guys. I make it by the giant potful. Normall triple quantities. I also use tinned spinach cos it's cheaper. Doesn't make much difference to taste. Don't use frozen spinach tho as it makes it too watery

Re washing powder. I have crazy sensitive skin. I rash at any vague hint of bio especially bold lol. Fairy is recommended but too harsh for my skin. I use sainsburys own brand non bio and it's a dream and cheap too. I use the accompanying softener. If I can find the non bio sensitive own brand in asda I use it instead.

Try this one too. Very filling. http://www.slimmingworld.com/recipes/barley-and-butternut-squash-hot-pot.aspx
Forgot to add with the spinach curry I don't have rice or anything cos it's really enough with the sweet potato. U tend to dip pitta into it. Yun

ladylegs - congratulations! I hope you are now on the mend and things can only get better.

kelda_shelton - good luck. Hope all goes smoothly and you'll be enjoying mummy cuddles soon.

griggsy - we bought Fairy liquid and conditioner for the baby. A bit pricey but don't want to try no-name brands when our LO is tiny. Fairy was recommended on quite a few internet websites and seemingly it's good for sensitive adult skin too. I believe it's made by P&G who also do Bold so you should be fine.

fluffnutter - sorry it wasn't amniotic fluid. Hope things start moving for you soon and you don't go overdue.

divorcingjack, mishkanorman and RebakahR - sorry you're having a bad day

snowyz82 - I'm afraid I don't know much about painkillers but my MW told me at about 20-25 weeks not to worry if baby is not moving as much. It's seemingly still very small and if it changes position you may no longer feel the kicks even if it's moving. But of course if your gut feeling tells you something is wrong, give your hospital a call and they'll tell you to come in for monitoring. Oh, and when I was buying paracetamol in Boots at the beginning of the pregnancy I was advised to take no more than half of the recommended dose. So not sure if paracetamol is really that safe?

    * rant warning* And this is exactly why I hate GPs - they prescribe paracetamol for everything like it's some sort of a magic drug. In my eyes a GP is no better than a receptionist - all they do is prescribe paracetamol and decide whether to send you to a consultant. Hope I haven't hurt anyone's feelings on here saying this but GPs make me so angry  Me and my friends had loads of problems with/because of them before.

Sorry if I've missed anyone. My brain is having a sleepy day - probably because it's so dark and gloomy outside :(

Sorted baby clothes for the hospital bag today (still no bag) - decided to take 4 newborn bodysuits and sleepsuits, 2 0-3 bodysuits and sleepsuits, one newborn set I got from my mum, 2 hats and 2 pairs of scratch mitts, 10 nappies, a tester tub of sudocrem and a pack of cotton pads. Have I missed anything? Hope the LO can hang on a bit longer as hubby is off next week and we could go shopping for a bag. Oh, and my sleepsuits and bodysuits are not matching - when I was buying them I had no clue they are to be worn together. But who cares if my LO wears a yellow bodysuit with bees and a blue sleepsuit with cars?

    Have a nice afternoon everyone.

    Afternoon!

Loving the facebook group, will take me a while to get used to real names and faces etc! Nice to be able to share all our baby pics when the time arrives though!

    Welocme to the newbies!

Fluff! Was expecting a baby update! Never mind, I !!!! myself daily too haha! Bit of leakage :D

((((((((hugs)))))))) Mishka and DJ hope your days get better!

Congratulations ladylegs! Sorry to hear you had a tough time, I'm sure cuddles with Joel will make it all worth it :)

    Good luck Kelda!!

I won't be freezing any meals etc, my mum and MIL have both said they will bring meals round if we need it and I've stocked up the freezer and cupboards so between me and OH we will sort it! Although good on you ladies being prepared!

We've been using Persil non-bio and pure Comfort for the last few months, so our clothes smell the same as the baby's. It took a while to get used to because I was a softener fiend!! My washing HAD to smell strongly or I'd wash it again! But the pure comfort is a nice smell, and I'm used to it now.

I might be wrong but I think choclover was beong induced Tuesday?
Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference :)
