Hope baby turns around all by itself!
How do they tell if it's breech? Do they just feel the bump and listen for a heartbeat or is it off for a scan? Or does the scan just confirm the suspicions?
Scan can confirm. I can feel she is breech. All my kicks are low down on my bladder-cervix (painful as hell!!!) or my anus. I can feel a rock hard head under my right breast that turns from side to side and little hands come up to it and punch lighter than the kicks below. Bum is soft - heads are rock hard.
And the other way to confirm is with the heartbeat doppler. You guys prob have it held low down near your foo foo - for me its held right up high above belly button.

RJ thanks for the recipes, will be trying out the spinach and sweet potato curry! Who was it who suggested freezing mashed potato? I had never thought of that before - how long would it keep for? Love sausage and mash, one of my favourite meals!
The mash was me :) I think it would keep 3 months or so, maybe longer? I freeze it in those plastic takeaway tubs. Defrost at rt and reheat in microwave. Add an extra knob of butter and mix through before serving. Nom nom nom :D

LMM heres a link to the page. http://www.laboraide.com/quad-pack.html

I wouldn't pay that price but Emmas diary have a code to bring it to £3.99 so considering whether it would be any good.

There's a couple of codes around to bring it down to that price but I've not found any reviews yet singing their praises by people who have actually used them. I have read a few comments from people who have bought them and then when in labour not used them though x

I clearly need to start learning about baby clothes, this is news to me as well. How many layers does the little one need to wear?? (Mine will be a winter baby - early Dec I think)

My LO is 19 months and I was told to think about what you are wearing for the weather that day and add 1 layer. So in the winter indoors you might wear a cotton top and a cardigan, so the baby wears a bodysuit/vest, a top and a cardigan.

In the summer there were a couple of days that were very warm, so indoors I just had a bodysuit/vest on my LO. (Guess that means I should have been naked if I'm following the +1 layer rule LOL)

Sounds like we've all had bad days, here's hoping tomorrow is better for all of us! xxx

Do I need to photocopy both sides of my MATB1 form? Am I right that I keep the original and everyone else gets the photocopy? x

bloody hell - so much bad luck on the thread today.
I hope we all have a fab day tomorrow.

I was in interviews most of today interviewing for my position. I'm getting stressed as I have less than 3 weeks remaining and there is no one in position yet. I really need to start winding down.

Thanks everyone for your ideas on what to stock up on. Little Miss Money Saver - you have some fab ideas. Just added loads to my tesco order for monday.
I've also ordered all the ingredients for the sweet pot curry and butternut hot pot so will be batch cooking like a nutter next week!

I also had my 34 week midwife appt today - the baby has moved to head down from transverse at 31 weeks. I nearly cried at the heart beat again (what a softy I am!)

Got another person interviewing at 8.30 tomorrow. Let's hope she's the one!

Rebekah - i am sorry you have had a rough day, have a good cry if you want. sorry to hear baby is still breach, hope it turns.

MRs BRyan - i am the same with paracetamol, i havent taken one since getting pregnant, even though i am in pain daily with my back, i am coping with using a natural antiinflammatory cream. apparently it is safe to take paracetamol but i dont like taking drugs anyway, let a alone taking them while pregnant.

ladylegs - sorry to hear labour didnt go as planned, i think it is hard to stand up against medical professionals because you do trust that they know best. congrats on your baby boy :)

i go on mat leave at 38 weeks so might not get time to do cooking and freezing of meals if baby comes early, definately do not have time with working full time and also seeing nutritional theapy clients and general preg tiredness.

a question - my moses basket has been given to me second hand by my sister - i was wondering do i need to buy a new mattress? i thought not as the mattress is covered in a plastic lining

i use ecover too, as have previously reacted to other detergents. the softner smells lovely! some shops will refill ecover 1.5L liquid detergent, a shop near me does it for £4.99.

even though i am 34+3 baby is still moving around a lot in terms of position, i will feel hard head below my breast one minute, then later in the day its gone. really hope its in head down position when midwife next checks on tuesday.

its nearly the weekend, thank god!
