What about cans of beans and tomatoes, packets of pasta and jars of sauce like pesto so you've always got an easy meal on hand?

    Excellent! thanks!

I am badly stressed out. Kitchen sink full of laundry now. Feel like i've gone back 50+ years. Need my mum but she is a useless *insert swear word here*. She already turned down my asking for help before. No one else to help. My sister has a toddler and this house really isn't a place for one of those right now! And my dad has parkinsons disease. And hubbys parents live 4 hours away ... Stiff jaw ...Will not cry ... Must soldier on.

Midwife at 1130 baby still not turned so expect to be talking about what happens in regards to consultant referral now.

So much for the ideal life of perfect house - perfect nursery - resting in the last few weeks with feet up knitting and reading - HA!! Who fed us that clap trap ...

Oh no, are they guaranteed at all. Fixable?
Dishwasher we dont know whats wrong with and tbh I can live without that - will make life harder but do able.
As for the ruddy washing machine! Its currently out in the middle of the floor with hubbys tools everywhere. He *thinks* it's the motor or something.

Nah nothing is guarnteed as they are old. Both inbuilt into the kitchen so came with the house when we brought it 4-5 years ago.

His solution was to take paracetamol regularly, so 1 or 2 tablets 4 times a day. I took 1 monday morning and then another about dinner. It was only later in the day that i noticed baby hadnt moved as much as normal. I was paranoid that it was cause of the tablet, i havent taken any since and baby is kicking away like normal. Do you think it was because of the tablet or just a fluck and they were having a lazy day. Only asking as i was really achy last night.x

    Hi Snowy,

Last time I was on strong painkillers and had reduced movement which I put down to the painkillers. I was informed by the consultant that the painkillers shouldn't cross the placenta and wouldn't have any impact on the little one.

Glad you are having stronger movements again but if you are worried do get checked out. :)

Speaking to my nan yesterday and she doesnt recall anyone in the family(her children or grandchildren) being late infact she knows some were early, does this run in the family or is everyone really different?

No one in my family have gone past 36 weeks, was informed that it doesn't run in the family by the consultant but my midwife seems to think that it might do.

    Will be interesting to see.

Thank you for all the recipe ideas, lots of fun to be had. Really need to get my !!!! in gear, there is lots to do like mop the floor (been putting it off for weeks but it is only going to get more difficult)

Big ((hugs)) to all who need them.

I hope your washing machine gets fixed soon.

Do you have a laundrette you can use temporarily? we always use one when we get back from holiday, just take the suitcase in :)

Thanks for all your kind words about things starting to move for me. Unfortunately I think I'd just pissed myself a bit with the excitement of doing the washing up :(

Do i need to do anything to join this board .I am 17weeks pregnant with our 1st baby who is due on 1st Dec.Many thanks:)
  • Morning all
Hope everyone is ok. I'm 28weeks today  cannot believe I'm 45 on the list, I was 60 like.....yesterday! Emsbet are you sure you've not made a mistake? ;)
I'm very stiff today so will attempt a relaxed day.was very busy yesterday as had big deliveries of food and my new wheelchair came :D My sister and two kids and my bf who is due a week tomorrow and her OH came for dinner. Was shattered by the end, but a lovely, lovely day. My friend has been given loads of clothes so she bought round lots of baby grows etc too for me so that was lovely.

Fluff I know the washing up is too exciting! ;) although I might use that as a good excuse not to do anymore lol.
Rebekah like Kitten said is there a launderette nearby? Can't remember if you drive, but maybe drop it in on your way to appt and pick it up on the way back? Sounds like a nightmare at this late stage, especially as no one around to help. Hope you're appt goes well big hugs :)
Snowywelcome :) if I remember rightly at 24 weeks I was still having days of little movement. I was a bit slow to start feeling him move anyway. I'm on codeine now, small dose only which I don't like taking really for bubba and it doesn't slow him down. I don't know how regular you can feel bubba if it is everyday so it could be a lazy day yday? Speak to you midwife probably is the best bet.
Mrs E I've started my super stockpile of dried goods. No1 TEABAGS!!! Hehe or coffee if you're a coffee drinker, maybe some UHT milk as a back up? In my larder I have.... Tinned toms, packets of couscous (you can get these v. Cheap on approved foods, got delivery yday 12 puts for £1), tinned veg inc baked beans, fray bentos (?so) pies, 10kgs pasta, 8kgs spag, couple kilos rice, straight to wok noodles (app food bargain), jars of pasta sauces, curry sauce etc to make quick meals with, loads of lentils, bread mixes so I can throw them in the bread maker if run out of bread. Crackers/ryvitas as a snacky thing. Also have a new bottle of oil, salt and mixed herbs :)
Household goods etc wise I've got; 60 dishwasher tablets, loads of washing powder, stocking up on toilet roll still, kitchen roll, think have 12 bottles of shower gel each, few bottles of shampoo, 8hair gels for OH, 5-6 deodorants each, 6 toothpastes and spare toothbrush heads. I've got it all written in a list. I've kinda got a list of how many I want before my official mat leave begins as once I'm on SMP I don't want to be worrying about running out of shower gel etc. can you tell I've been off since 19weeks?
Little Moog I do the same, freeze mash or boiled spuds and veg. Great time saver :)
Kitten if you go over to the grocery challenge there's lots of recipes for batch cooking/freezing. A few will freeze cooked pasta/spag with meat sauce so it's like a ready meal. Someone also freezes cooked rice, but I know a lot of ppl that wouldn't risk it.
RJH also looking forward to that curry recipe, sounds yummy!
Wow all that talk of food is getting me hungry. Is it wrong I'm fancying the leftover banoffee pie from last night!

Big labour vibes to the boldies and hugs to all that need them xxxx

AND it's raining. AND cold. AND I don't have a car so I can't go and buy myself crisps.
