I took small size for my second as well as newborn (i think thats around 7lb ?) but only because I was given some - i wouldnt head out and buy many but they fit so much better than the newborn and i didnt like the way the clothes were hanging off my ds1 in his first ever picture !

ive replied to all the pms and friend requests and have hopefully added everyone to the new group, if you havent been added but have sent me a pm please send me another as I may well have missed you

sorry to hear you had a bad day bellola. even though plenty of people around me are sympathetic to my pregnancy i find it extremely useful talking about things on here, its a good place to chat.

i had a crappy day yesterday, one of those "how will i last another 6 weeks days" i had back, hip bumb ache and was tired. anyway today was better, it does make be think about changing my plans of working up to 38 weeks though. i think next time i have a rough day i will take a day of sick, because i ahve only been in my job 4 months i feel guilty taking time of due to preg but i know i must look after myself more, i dot want baby coming early because i havent rested enough.

some interesting things said at my antenatal clinic yesterday - dont use baby wipes till baby is 4 - 6 months old because they are harsh on their skin. you wonder why you get all these freebie wipes from baby clubs when midwife says this. also said in safety booklet dont buy a baby walker as they can cause accidents.

i have not watched any of one born every minute - i think it would scare me to death and give me negative thoughts about labour - it is true that they show the most dramatic cases as straight forward labours would not be interesting enough.

really enjoyed my daisy birthing class last night, it makes me feel more positive abour labour and birth. learnt about how important it is to breath well during labour so oxygen gets to muscles so that contractions continue to be strong. have just learnt deep breathing at moment, going on to escalation breathing next week and then another type of breathing for when you are pushing.

ok enough said by me today........

im starting a daisy labour course in a few weeks - did u like it - any advice?

I think I only have about 5 or 6 newborn vests and the same in sleepsuits. Everyone keeps saying I won't need them because I will have a big/tall baby. Think I might buy another pack of each just incase. Got loads of 0-3 months lol x

At our antenatal classes we were also told baby wipes are unsuitable for newborns, no matter what the manufacturers claim. The MW didn't actually say when it's safe to start using them though so it's good to know some people think it's 4-6 months.

On our first night i had one of the midwives on the ward show me how to clean baby using cotton balls and warm water, it looked super easy and to be honest hadnt occured to me not to use baby wipes at all however when we got home and were faced with uBer poo that would ride up the back in a funnel we ditched the tiny little balls of hell and used baby wipes !

this time round ive got some top n tail cloths that came in the Huggies newborn starter pack so will use those and maybe some homemade washables

Just got home from posting a letter and Moon noticed a parcel on the doorstep - it was the Philips Avent Natural Baby bottle that you were all talking about earlier. :beer: Have put it in the baby's room with the rest of the pile that's stored in the baby bath currently.:o

Also had a parcel from our friends in Canada (met them online and they were our witnesses at our wedding last year). It had a gorgeous red babygrow in it for Bean to wear as an "honorary Canadian". It's in size 3-6 months but looks teeny, but it'll be ideal for Christmas if he's not too big by then. It has a little reindeer on the front with a maple leaf on its bottom, with "100% canuck" printed on it. SOOO cute! They also sent us a lovely card, and enclosed a cheque for the shocking amount of £150 to buy something bigger for Bean.:eek: They are the loveliest people, and really welcomed us into their family as soon as they met us. It's both their birthdays soon, so I must send something nice to them. Last year I sent them both a fridge magnet with their cards, so need to think of something nice that's still fairly light to send them.

Congratulations ladies and Wwtbr on the birth of your little ones..there's been a rush on since I last posted..and I'm getting rather worried how quick my name is creeping up the list!

Thanks Mishka for setting up FB group and adding me...it's lovely to put faces to names I've seen from TTC thread through to here!

All this talk of hospital bags has me in a bit of a panic...I'm 32 weeks today and haven't started washing baby things or deciding what to take to hosp yet..gonna have to get my act together!
We are sorted for everything else though so I've not much ahead of me left to do.
I'm getting to stage now where I just want to meet baby..I'm sooo impatient and just want it to be here now plus the thought of 5 more weeks at work is filling me with dread!
Baby has been having me on for the past 2-3 days with a drop in the strength of its kicks... They weren't anywhere near as strong as they have been, just like flutters and squirmy movements, and then today it's gone to town kicking me every minute of the day almost! It mustve got fed up of me keep getting my Doppler out to check it was ok lol!
