Good luck BB hope things go well today

Sending best wishes to all those in bold esp choclover

Well it is a busy thread so sorry if i missed anyone maybe a few more days and I might have just caught up and start to know whos who

I had my MW check up this morning all fine and normal as usual, dont get me wrong i am so pleased everything is going exactly as it should but I am currently surrounded by distant friends and work collegues who seem to be having scans and check ups every week, it seems sad not to see baby again untill she is born the 20wk scan seems so long ago already.

Someone mentioned booking a 4d scan, can anyone book to have one or do different areas have different policies as it has never been mentioned to me?

4D scans are private only. They're not offered by the NHS.

    Congrats ww2br! :j
Lots of boldies today, sending labour vibes to you all.

Had my anti-d injecton yesterday, wasn't too bad just a bit stingy. My 28 wk blood test results showed I'm low in iron so went to H&B and got some tablets. Decided to get the other vitamins on the list as I was there, came to a grad total of £20.31 for 4 items. Vitamins are expensive stuff! Think this low iron level might swing me a few steak dinners by OH as he was all concerned on what I need to be eating more of.

    Hope everyone else is well.

They are expensive! If you were low in iron why didn't the quack prescribe you some tablets? That way they'd be free. When I had my 28 week test I asked what would happen if my hb came back low and the midwife said someone would give me a ring to tell me to come and pick up a prescription.

    I have news! :D

Went to the clinic this morning to be checked out. First I was monitored for 20 mins or so as my baby has been a little bit less wriggly than usual. All was absolutely fine with baby, but I had a couple of whacking great off-the-scale braxton hicks whilst I was there.

Then she had a rummage and found that baby is engaged, and I'm 1cm dilated! :j woo hoo! So she phoned the hospital and booked me in for induction, said to me and DH to go home, have a cup of tea then head in to the hospital when we're ready - scary! :)

And then....walking across the clinic car park to go back to the car, I felt a warm trickle down below....and yep, my waters went, in the car park!! So I stood there, rather embarrassed, with my legs crossed, phoned the clinic (as I didn't dare move in case they went all over the waiting room floor or something!), and spoke to the midwife I'd just seen. She said to come back in, so I waddled back in, up the stairs(!), all the time trying to keep my legs shut to stop the flow (embarrassing given that there was a whole room full of old people waiting to see the doctor!). Had quite a lot of blood in my pants (sorry) but clear fluid as well, so waters def gone - trickling though rather than gushing.

So providing my contractions (can call them that rather than BH now!) ramp up over the next 24 hours, I can have a normal labour rather than be induced! :j Have to call the delivery suite at 7am tomorrow (if not before), if nothing's happened then I will have the pessary as previously planned.

Really surreal sitting here, waiting....! Gonna try and do a bit of pottering and ball-bouncing/rocking, but also get as much rest as possible, esp as I woke up so early this morning.

Eek! I'm bricking it but really excited at the same time!

All sounds go BB, more curry and pineapple for lunch?! Does DH have the day off with you or are you home alone? I'm so excited it's happening for you, still rather surreal that we'll all get to that point, eep!

Keep us updated and good luck :)

I'm home alone, DH has gone to work. Decided there's no point in him wasting a day's leave when I'm fine and nothing much is happening. Contractions definitely more intense now, but not regular yet.

Luckily DH only works a 15min drive away so can easily get home if I need him.

Aww that's good, you have all of us anyway! We still have 10 weeks til due date but this is why hubby is doing an intensie driving course next week, I do not want to feel stranded or the only driver!

They say its an hour a cm or something like that anyway don't they? (Whoever they are!) I'm off to teach soon but will definitely keep checking on you, even though your bundle will then take me to number 39 :/!
