Just wanted to share a pic I have just been sent by the lovely lady making my cot bed & rocking crib bumper and blanket sets up for me.

this is the blanket. It will have a lovely fleecy backing too. I'm so excited to see it done.

Damn how do I insert a pic???

I use tinypic. Just upload your photo and then paste the last link as an image (the little icon with the two pyramids and the yellow 'sky').

Don't leave the baby in the snow in that blanket!! You won't be able to find it :rotfl:

Nope, you have to go via the web I'm afraid. We'll see it once you're home!

Just a quick hello  - finally managed to catch up! Huge congrats to those who've given birth since last time I was on here, and labour vibes to those who want them. Seems like it's induction week!?

Our little girl is 5 weeks old today - how time flies! But she's fab and soooo worth 9 months of aches and pains. Having said that though... is it sad that I'm excited about being able to paint my toenails and sleep on my stomach?... :T

Re. the 'what do you do with it' discussion - I could so identify with the worries about suddenly being responsible for another little person who completely depends on you for everything. I had moments of panic whilst pregnant, wondering how I'd cope and how I'd know what to do, having had no previous experience of dealing with babies. But it really is true that once the baby's here you just get on with it and you WILL be fine - besides, you won't have time to dwell on stuff as baby will want milk/cuddle/clean nappy NOW! These three things can solve most 'what to do' dilemmas, by the way ;)

    Hugs to all x

PS2: What they don't tell you in antenatal classes is that pregnancy is such good preparation for parenthood: if you think you're a bit of a slob now for finding yourself in your PJs at 3pm and/or for not having had a shower all day and/or for existing on a diet of ready meals/take aways/chocolate bars/other stuff that requires minimal effort and has zero nutritional value... well, that's what life with a newborn is like :)

I saw that last night. Every shot of her as a little girl being so joyous and into everything and just like every other two year old nearly broke my heart. I'm not normally sentimental but I guess the pregnancy hormones are affecting me!
