    I have a call for help to make - my stepmother (who is lovely) said that she was getting her knitting needles out when we told her and my dad that there was a grandchild on the way. I know that a lot of you are crafty and I was wondering if any of you could point me in the direction of 'nice' knitted things and patterns so that [STRIKE]I don't end up with a load of dated tat[/STRIKE] we can put in some requests for stuff that we'd actually use? Ta muchly :)

    I am just finishing making one of these for my own little lady ...

    I've finally managed to find some baskets to go on the shelves in the nursery. DH went and picked them up from the sorting office this morning. I love them :) I got six, and they are quite a nice size and will be good for holding things like nappies and baby toiletries. Here's a picture of one of them;

    Cute, aren't they. I've just got these boring ones from Ikea.

    I've made that papoose, for my sister's baby in January (pinched the pattern when you posted it on TTC thread Rebekah!). It's lovely, and so snuggly. She's going to lend it back to me for my baby, but I've started another one so I've got 2 :)

    I've got this Sirdar book, bought it when Niece no1 was on the way, and I've made so many things from it. http://www.sirdar.co.uk/designs/books/B316

    Pleased to hear it all went well today kelda, even if it was a bit unpleasant. Fingers crossed that baby comes without any need for further interventions.
    Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

    I know I had been watching them for a few days! And one popped up somoene bid on it for £25 and £26 and it was up for a buy it now @ £50. Others had been going for around that price with no baskets or something like only 2 and no bath. I knew this had to be the one and at that price I didn't stop to think about pressing that button :rotfl:

    My baby has been so wriggly today. He normally has a burst of activity first thing in the morning then later on in the afternoon and then at bedtime but he's been almost non stop today. I have no idea what he's doing in there but he's obviously very busy! ;):) It's nice :)
