ps have we heard from mrsmanda or choclover lately?

I'm afraid I'm still here hanging on! I'm getting mightily bored of it now and just want it over with! I've got midwife again tomorrow so hopefully it will be third time lucky for the sweep. DD's at Nanny & Grandad's now until Friday so I'm thinking lots of jiggy jiggy and curry tonight and tomorrow night (great combo I know know _pale_) but I'd do anything not to be induced!

MissMonkeyMoo ((hugs)) try not to get too upset hun, it's probably a man thing and he's just worrying because your going to be so far away.

Kitten - the whole gender stereotype thing amuses me greatly, when I was little I was brought up on ghostbusters, toy cars, dungaree's and other such boy things. I still had girly stuff too, and today I'm still interested in both things, in fact I remember the best times of my teenage years were spent driving mini road sweepers and fork lift trucks round my dads factory and getting filthy, whilst wearing a dress. Did me no harm lol.

Does anyone have any idea's for crafty stuff I can do for babies room that doesn't involve knitting or crocheting? I have access to a sewing machine too but as we are buying some bunting I don't really want to do too much fabric stuff.

How are you at painting? If you're very good, you could try a mural. Or stencilling if you don't think your painting skills are up to it.

Oh no! I can't believe you haven't had it yet!! LOL at jiggy jiggy, I'm sure that's the last thing you feel like doing (it is in my case at the moment anyway!) but hopefully it'll do the trick. Curry is tasty at least, although I've had spicy food for the last couple of days and all it's done is give me heartburn! :o

Run up and down the stairs...?! (I say "run"...)

You could do some kind of applique (sp?) box or something? Thinking along the lines of a box for little bits and bobs, or memories like hospital wrist tag etc...like this:

  • Afternoon all!

Had to work today for my final uni assessment for my degree. Been off with SPD for two months now so was very strange. Was fussed by everyone there and asking how we're doing. Have missed them very much. Anyway I passed, so once it's all processed I now have a degree in clinical nursing. Makes no difference to my job, but all the "youngsters" are only doing degrees now so happy it's done now :)

MMM try not to stress yourself out. I'm sure once you're back it'll be forgotten. It's your job not a weekend away, hope OH calms down though, not as if you're that happy wih it either.
Ww2B hope your wife is ok and you're having mummy and daddy cuddles now.
Labour vibes to all the boldies
Kelda glad your appt went well :)
Hugs to those that had sweeps.....they don't sound like a fun day out to me either :(
Emsbet I love the boxes. I'm waiting until we paint the nursery before I get pretty bits so that it might be slightly coordinated. I'll have to save that website. Congrats on the third semester, I'll be joining you tomorrow....
I've forgotten what else I read, hope everyone else is ok and gs to all who need them

Scout the charity shops for a cheap photo frame. Decorate/paint/stick beads/ribbon whatever on so it matches the nursery. Then you have a nice frame for a first family/baby photo :D

    Congratulations lmm!

    Hope everyone is ok today.

Had midwife, nothing to report! Baby measuring up normal now not gigantic which is good, midwife said he's dropped right down.
Got to go back in 2 weeks on due date if nothing happens from now until then.

Oooooh and my belly button has popped out!! I really wanted it to for some weird reason (OH thinks I'm mental) and it has!

All your talk of cake yesterday had me pop to Asda after midwife and pick up muffins! And more muffins! Blueberry, choc chip....I've just sat here with a cuppa and ate 2 in a row....naughty ladies! :)
Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference :)

Ooh some fab idea's, thanks guys :)

I've just bought some images from primsydoodledesigns which I'm going to put on some canvasses to paint for the room.

    Some material:
    http://www.celticfusionfabrics.com/ourshop/prod_1623752-Penguin-amp-Fish-Safari-sweet-Organic-elements-on-white.html
to make some little pump bag style bags and a cushion cover for my chair in there as well as some curtain tie backs :)

Loving the memory box and photo frame idea too. I was also thinking of some wooden letters that spell bub's name to decorate too, but not quite sure yet.
You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

xx Mama to a gorgeous Cranio Baby xx
