I heard back from the hospital. 7 delivery suites with a birthing pool (just the one of them has that, not all 7 :rotfl:). She told me other stuff (which I can't remember) and said I could email/ring her directly to find out more information/arrange a tour of the ward.
I feel much better about it now. Also, had physio this morning which has HURT me. Gentle stretching my eye!!! OMG I can hardly move...baby seems to think its fab though and keeps kicking my muscle right where I'm sore!

Since finding out that we are having a girl OH has spent all his time reading up on sexism and gender issues etc.
Reading studies that girls genetically like pink and boys blue due to when girls were gatherers and needed to look for berries and boys were hunters and used the blue skies etc.
This all seems completely fictitious especially when you take into account that up until 1927 blue was for girls and pink was for boys. :rotfl::rotfl:Overdraft = £1000 Emergency fund = £2500

Awww bless MMM. Hope you're ok.
Kitten, yup, it's all a pile of poo. Psychologists have found we stereotype them before they even come out of the womb. It's all our own faults.Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

OMG what a load of bollox! :rotfl:
I like blue, but don't particularly like pink, so if we have a girl she most certainly won't be dressed exclusively in pink! I've already instructed my mum that she is not allowed to buy loads of pink frilly dresses (because I know she'll want to!) I was always a right little tom boy and refused to wear pink and/or dresses from as soon as I was able to!
TBH that kind of gender stereotyping was one of the reasons I didn't want to find out if bubs is a boy or a girl before s/he is born - to avoid some of the inevitable pre-conceived (subconscious or otherwise) ideas of what s/he will be like as an individual. That, and the fact that I just love surprises!

Don't know what to suggest hun, sorry. But big ((hugs)) and try not to be too upset over work - it's not worth it xx"Live long, laugh often, love much"

MissMonkeyMoo ((hugs)) try not to get too upset hun, it's probably a man thing and he's just worrying because your going to be so far away.
Kitten - the whole gender stereotype thing amuses me greatly, when I was little I was brought up on ghostbusters, toy cars, dungaree's and other such boy things. I still had girly stuff too, and today I'm still interested in both things, in fact I remember the best times of my teenage years were spent driving mini road sweepers and fork lift trucks round my dads factory and getting filthy, whilst wearing a dress. Did me no harm lol.
Does anyone have any idea's for crafty stuff I can do for babies room that doesn't involve knitting or crocheting? I have access to a sewing machine too but as we are buying some bunting I don't really want to do too much fabric stuff. You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.
xx Mama to a gorgeous Cranio Baby xx
