Morning All!

Sexymouse – I have always called mine Nanny (Nan) and Granddad so will be calling my parents that once baby is here. OH’s mum is Hungarian and will probably want to be called Nage Mama (Grandmother), but he hasn’t asked her and we don’t get on so I wouldn’t ask her so I have no idea how you pronounce it!

Ikkle – I guess then that the 87 stands for 1987, in which case you are only a year older than I am. My parents will be 47 and his mum will be 49 so will be young grandparents…we keep winding them up that if they are seen pushing a buggy people will think it is theirs, which my dad finds gross as I’m an only and left home 4+ years ago so he couldn’t imagine being a Dad at his age lol!

Jovi – Congrats on the healthy birth

NBirdy – Little boys are more affectionate to their mums and generally a little more adventurous so it might make a nice change

Yeah diszi I will be 25 when bubs is born. My mum would love it if people thought bubs was hers she's obsessed lol. She wants to be my birthing partner and everything, I keep joking with my OH that if he goes round near my due date not to eat or drink anything incase she poisons him to make sure she can be there instead of him lol. I think most of its cos she never thought I'd get pregnant and have kids though.

Congrats to all the new mummys! It's seems like a lifetime away for me (no. 77), but I'm sure it will fly in.

Can I ask those who already have children a question? My DD is 18 months. She has been soaking through her nappy the last week or so at night time, and her vest and pyjamas are wet in the middle of the night and she wakes crying. She was in Pampers size 4, so I bought Pampers size 5 to try at night time thinking more material would soak up more liquid. We had the same again last night with the bigger nappy. She woke before 4am crying and wet. She sleeps on her front and she is wet at the front waistband if that helps.

Anyone any ideas on how to stop this?

I think it is quote funny that I keep moving up and down the list from 68 to 69 and then down to 70 and then back to 69 again... I can't help thinking that it was all this moving up and down and 69ing that got me into this position in the first place ... sorry to be crude I just thought it was funny!

Lol, had to laugh reading the posts about grand parents and agesl my other half is 8 years younger than me and his parents are only 8 years older than me! It's quite a bizarre situation to be in really cos there are some things that I remember from my childhood that other half doesn't have a clue about and then there are things that his parents talk about from their days growing up which I can remember too. Think they already use the terms Grandad and Nanny, as OH's brother has children, but not overly sure. As for my Mum and Dad, think it will be Nana and maybe Gramps - seem to recall my Dad is not keen on 'Grandad' although I think Grandpa *name* would be cool!

Still feeling under the weather today and really want to go home and go to sleep but go too much work on at the mo before a meeting on Friday. Client wants a site meeting in Glasgow at 9am! That means I will have to get a flight around half six, which in turne means a very early start to get up, get ready and get to the airport! I could fly the day before and stop over but I have commitments on a Thursday night and I am not keen on the idea of stopping away in any case. Will be glad to get this week out of the way!

Was reading today as well that baby is 37cm long! 37cm! I had to get my ruler out and even knowing that this will be from the top of the head down to the toes I couldn't see how that all fits in 'there'! Aaahh, baby's just had a wriggle - right round the belly button! That one always feels so weird!

Morning ladies

I think my reflux is coming back, the last 2-3 days I've woken up coughing during the night which was the main symptom last time. Consultants appointment this afternoon, so will ask them then if there's anything stronger than ranitidine I can take. Dosed up on Gaviscon liquid before I went to bed last night though and slept through the night :j

meant I also slept through DH getting up about 4 times with sickness and diarrhoea though so feel like a bad wife this morning! I left him throwing up when I went to work and he was insisting that he was ok to work from home *rolls eyes*

On the subject of what to call grandparents, our parents have grandchildren already. DH mum will be Granny and dad will be Grandad. My mum will be Nana, her husband to be will be Grandad XXX (not his name but a nickname that my eldest nephew used to call him before he could say his name). My dad will be Grandad xxx (his name). Baby will also have a great nan, great grandma and great grandad on my side.

I was 27 weeks yesterday, so in the third trimester and on the home straight now We've got most of the things we need now, just waiting for my mum to come up in a couple of weeks to buy the moses basket.
I've started been really nauseous the last couple of days. To start with I thought I might be getting the sickness bug both my sister and nephew had at the weekend but I haven't been sick so it must be pregnancy related. I've spent the last three days either hungry or feeling sick and just picking at crap rather than eating properly. I feel bad that I'm not eating healthy enough but I'm sure the baby will take what he needs from me.

Got my pregnancy massage tomorrow afternoon and I'm so looking forward to it! My hips and back are getting more sore by the day now although I'm wondering how I'll make it through a 75 minute massage without needing a wee
