Put the cot up. So weird to think there'll be something in it soon :D And I really must get round to sanding those floorboards...

welcome punkpink - in a way its quite nice to know at a later date like 18 weeks as we knew from a few days before my period was due and it felt like ages till first scan. glad everything was fine on your scan.

Betty definately see your midwife or docs about the swollen feet, best to be safe then sorry:)

Monks - congratulations on your birth, nice quick labour as well.

well me & OH attended our first NHs antenatal class today - it actually made me more scared of labour as there was a lot of empahsis on pain!!! also saying that with your first you could be in early labour for days and by the time you get into established labour you may be desperate for pain relief. my OH wasnt happy about how keen the midwife seemed to be on interventions.

anyway it was all a bit negative. i have my daisy birthing class tonight which is about relaxation, breathing and hypnobirthing which i hope will be more positive.

off to make some dinner (OH currently shouting at TV - england match - blah)

    speak to you ladies soon,

    Laura

    Monks - congratulations!

fluffnutter - your cot looks just like mine! Is it "Anna" from JL?

Dragged my butt to work today but was in a LOT of pain and can barely walk. I feel like phoning in sick tomorrow but it's my last week and don't want to leave things unfinished. Could ask DH to give me a lift but this would add an hour to his journey :(

Yeah... I think you're going to need to take a few things out of first! The OH dumped his pants and socks in the cot this morning - he said it was a 'useful space'. I shrieked that it was not to become a dumping ground for his manky undercrackers!
