I've already bought a santa suit for our littly lol, the plan is to dress him in it take pictures and get them made into christmas cards for family, especially seen as most of the family are down south :) x

Good thinking. It's a well-known fact that Southerners can't get enough of pictures of babies in Santa suits, whereas people from the North prefer elves.

Lol, I meant more the fact none of OH's family will get to see the baby so they will get the christmas cards of him as santa. Now you've made me want to buy an Elf outfit too lol. x

I'd just like to share the fact that "sock ons" are the greatest invention ever and if you don't put them right at the top of your baby shopping list you're missing out! Especially if you end up having a baby with scrawny thin legs who can never keep socks on.

Why can't my nesting instinct prompt me to do anything useful? The whole house desperately needs hoovering and dusting, yet I've just spent 20 minutes cleaning the catflap.

The baby won't even use the catflap! It will enter and exit via the front door like the other humans!

  • I was at the flicks once with my mate who'd bought a big bag of pic 'n' mix. Unbeknownst to me he whittled a hole in the bottom of the bag and popped his willy through. He then whispered would I like some, I reached over, inserted my hand and grabbed the tip of his peen. :D

    Good morning!
Had about 12 hours sleep so now think I've overdone it lol!
Cheetara good luck for Sunday. Like you said at least you have a definite plan and can organise yourself for then and of course you get to meet the LO very soon :)
Hugs Ikkle for the crappy friend, nowt like a bit of Facebook to rub it in though. What a cow :( But :j for OHs new job and good luck to him for Sunday.
MonkeyMoo I know! There's a few of us there due together so it'll be a race to the finish! I'm lucky my best friend is also pregnant 37 weeks today! But you can be easily forgotten once you're out of the loop so to speak. Lucky you've got all of us on here though ;)
Good luck at the midwife SM
Enjoy your haircut triangle it's one thing on my list to do still.
Happy due date MrsManda has anything happened yet? ;)
Fluffnutter my daft cat won't even use the cat flap. She'll only exit through the door, however if we shut the door then she'll come back in the cat flap as she has no choice. You never know!

Right my sister has arrived so I'd better look awake!

Have a lovely day ladies :) xxx

    Morning all (just),

Back from midwife, and all is going well. She said I measured 24cm, which is right for my dates (24+5 today); urine was fine; too early to refer to physio about my back pains but if they continue that I should mention at 28 week appointment in 3 weeks; keep hydrated to avoid the dizzy spells I'd had; put a pillow under my feet at night to elevate my ankles; blood pressure fine; good strong heartbeat; need to see doctor again about heartburn as strongest she can prescribe is gaviscon which is what I've already got.

I got the MATB1 form, so I've just sat and written the letters for Moon and myself to send to our employers and photocopied the form in case they loose the original. If anyone wants a template for their notification letters, I'm happy to post them online if you want to edit them to suit you.

Off to town to give letters to the relevant people (and post my one recorded), then to the jewellers to sort out Moon's wedding ring claim, and have some lunch whilst we're there - Bean is kicking as he is demanding his lunch, and I must admit, I'm feeling a bit hungry now.

Good luck to anyone who is in labour at the moment.

Hugs for all who need or want them,

    sexymouse xx
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww! I so hope that's not true! (I also hope that if it is true, all the sweets were gone, because if not that would really have put me off having any more!)

My friend has a 4 week old baby and says the same thing...I haven't got any yet but will def suggest them if anyone asks if there's anything we'd specifically like! :)

Hope monitoring goes ok triangle, if I haven't missed you already. I'm sure it'll be fine. I quite enjoy having my ECG twice a week, listening in to bubs and hearing him/her kick the monitor!
I went to the clinic for mine this morning, all was fine, midwife said I'm "the picture of health" :D Did BP and wee test too, all good. Measuring right for dates too. They reiterated that it is silly for me to be under consultant care and that there shouldn't be a problem for me to go to the birthing suite :j (assuming my growth scan on tues shows no probs - if I haven't had the baby by then that is!)

LOL i'll prob end up saying "f*ck the birthing pool, where's my epidural?" and being transferred over to the labour ward anyway....! :rotfl:

The baby texts have started...one last night and one this morning asking if anything was happening yet...! Still 6 days til due date for goodness sake!

Moses basket stand arrived today and I have to say I am so impressed. Ordered it about this time yesterday, and it arrived at 9am this morning. £12.99 including P&P, and it is basic, but sturdy and decent quality. Here's the link if anyone's interested:

I think I might make a cake this afternoon... :p

ooh meant to say - exciting Cheetara! I understand your concerns but just think, in 2-3 days' time you'll be cuddling your LO! :)
