I would just like to officially say
"I am so jealous of you maternity leave people!!"
I've got just under 7 weeks to go and can't wait for the time to go so I can concentrate on preparing to be a yummy mummy!
I hope you guys are enjoying yourselves!
TBH - my office is very well air conditioned so I'm not suffering from heat. I'm just suffering from boredom!
I've had a numb left arm for the past two days which is bothering me. Have any of you had this? What did you do to relieve the weird feeling?0 -

Mabel had lovely sleepy daddy cuddles and is just about to have her bum changed by daddy (i haven't had to change one nappy yet!! Dan has changed them all!)
I cannot tell you how glad I am I had the home birth in the water, and even though it went slightly wrong in the end, i wouldnt have changed anything.
Mabel is perfect, and Dan is besotted! I'm fairly incapacitated and he won't leave me unattended 'cos he's scared something will happen to me!
The Midwives told me when i was asleep in hospital, he was either holding Mabel or stroking my forehead trying to get my heart rate down with love!
I think his major wobble earlier on in the pregnacy was worry and stress. Now Mable is here he is the happiest man alive!
I'm so happy I could cry (and have
)
BIG BIG labour vibes to all that need them, and huge hugs to everyone suffering in the heat... I cannot tell you what a difference it makes not having a bump anymore!
heres a big hunt for jamrags after... My midwife sent dan out to get some heavy duty things and the heavy flow tenna lady are ace! they cushion your bits so nicely and you don't feel "wet" soo i recomend the tenna lady pads
(they arent maternity ones they are incontinent ones but that makes them more comfy!)
hugs and love to all xxxxx
I'm so pleased to hear that about your Dan! How sweet of him to be stroking your forehead! it makes me wanna cry! xxx0 -
Well, my DW's been on iron tablets for the past 6 weeks and her iron levels have fallen to 9.9. We're now taking liquid iron, which is not difficult in this heat - everything's melting! I did tell her to ask the GP for anti diarrhoea tablets cos that's pretty much all she has had for the past few weeks... but she chose not to.
And then I read about Miss Money's birth story, and am now sat here wondering if the same thing is more likely - as a result of low iron levels. must... not... worry...!
My in-laws have been staying with us for the past few days, our bathroom is a building site. Our baby better not come early, not while we have a building site for a bathroom...Having fun trying to save money without going over the top and living on budget food all the time...0 -
Rebekah - I go swimming alone every week. It's lovely.
The first time i went I was a bit nervous but now I really look forward to it every week.0 -

Right I've not been out (except to hang washing out! Don't think that counts!) since Wednesday so I'm going to get dressed and have a waddle over to Asda for a cooked chicken, tiger loaf and salad for tonight's dinner, some ice lollies (of course), and hopefully a good womble too
Hope all you poor ladies still at work aren't struggling too much in this heat.
Miss money I keep looking at your lovely photos and I'm rather jealous - I want cuddles with mine
Glad baby decided to wake up for you. xx0 -
I'm glad Dan has taken to his new role and is looking after you both missmoney

:j yay for wriggly bubba turtlemoose! Mine has been a bit quieter the last couple of days (he's still wriggling but not as much) and I think the heat might have something to do with it.

Phone the quack's. It's probably just a compressed nerve or something but personally I think numbness always warrants a bit of investigation.

Hey all

Back from hospital having had lots of tests done and results in. Baby is absolutely fine
and my bloods were clear
I do have high blood pressure and they want to see me again in a week regarding itching and swollen feet. Been prescribed some cream and have been told I need to rest more - I thought I was resting too much as it was! Despite having to wait around for ages, I am so pleased I went if only to put my mind at rest. Thanks again to Fluff for advice xx
Cheers ladies for tips to remove my rings - going to try some of them tomorrow as I have made the finger even more swollen by all the tugging I have done! Really hoping something will work - will be totally gutted if they end up being cut.
Lovely catching up with all your news this afternoon - big love to all xxx
Must share a quick story, there was a girl in the maternity assessment unit in bed next to me. I overheard she was 26 weeks and had been having spotting and reduced movements. After waiting for ages, a doctor came to see her to tell her that the consultant recommended she be admitted for 24 hours to be mointored. Well she ummed and aaahed about it, her partner was not keen 'well you do have a lot to do at home!' and in the end she said she would have to have a cup of tea and think about it as she 'doesn't like hospitals' Now, not many people are a fan of them I know but if she was that worried about baby to come in in the first place, shortly an overnight stay to ensure little one was OK wouldn't even need thinking about? Maybe its just me, but I found that attitude really shocking.
Anyway - happy sunshine all!
Are you by the sea too Miscka?
