Museumworker welcome to maternity leave....it's great
I have to say I am glad mine will be here soon, I am so uncomfortable in this heat and would hate to have to be prego throughout it. Feeling rather pleased at the thought of lots of walks with baby in the lovely weather (if it lasts of course!). I have no garden (just a small concrete square), but less than 2 mins walk away is this....

Hi Twinklie,
I've lived in Bangor for about twelve years now.
There are a couple of baby groups that I'm aware of in Bangor and in the surrounding areas. I can only think of one soft play place and it's usually busy, I know my friends who already have kids use it a lot.
I'm due at the end of August / early September and would be happy to get together if you would like to? A friend of mine works with the local health visitors so she's got lots of info about the different groups. If you drive you'll find life a bit easier as you can attend groups in nearby villages as well.
PM me if you'd like to swap contact details. This is my first baby so I can't offer you access to a massive support network yet- but would love to meet up with someone in the area who's baby will be about the same age as mine.

Congratulations Miss_Money! All your girls are beautiful. Jeez, I can't look at newborns at the moment without sobbing so I'm writing this through a haze of tears
Take it really, really easy and eat lots of red meat, eggs and greens to get your iron count back up x."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -

Many many congratulations to MissMoney :happyhear - all your girls are beautiful! Pleasesd to hear you had a smooth delivery and are recovering from the hospital bit. Keep posting!
Rebekah - I live in Norfolk on the east coast
Not in a good way today - my hands and feet have become even more swollen and itchy and now my engagement and wedding rings are truly stuck. My mum told me to take them off a couple of weeks ago and I really wished I had of listened. Have become a bit panicy as my finger is throbbing with them on - have tried raising hand, cold water, lotions everything. Have hospital appointment at 12.30 to discuss test results and am really worried now that the rings will have to be cut off
Will sit outside in the sun until then trying to calm down and ignore the pain
Have a good day all

Rebekah my plans for today, as part of the mat leave crew, are sort out 2 boxes on the landing (the last few remnants of junk out of the spare room).
However baby has been unusually quiet this morning, so I'm currently laying on my side eating some ice, going to give it an hour and if I don't get some wriggles, well, you all know where I'll be spending my afternoon0 -
Hope LO starts wriggling around soon turtlemoose
Rebekah, I went swimming on my tod last week and I quiet enjoyed it. I was going to go this week but I spent my money doing things at the beginning of the week. Might go Tuesday after the midwife as the doctor's surgery is on the way.

Hello ladies
Not posted in a while but have been lurking over last few days catching up. Massive congrats to GtotheC, Nutella and Miss Money (the pictures of yours girls are beautiful :T)
Triangle - we seem to have similar pregnancy problems, both have SPD and I've been a stay puft marshmallow woman for weeks and it's no fun is it? I can't stand for more than a few minutes before my feet look like pillows, and not been able to wear my engagement ring for ages (have it on a necklace). I hope you're able to get yours off.
Thank you all for your kind words when I had thrush - Dear Canestan, I love you :iloveyou:
Baby was breech at midwife check this week so I am having a scan and meeting with consultant on Tuesday (I'll be 36+2). Also measuring large for dates so looking like I may be having planned c-section or being induced if either of these doesn't change. Was quite upset at first as I really wanted a natural delivery (optimistically hoping for a quick ish one as second baby) but have accepted there are pros and cons to both.
Hugs to everyone who's having a rough time.
Swelteringly hot here (sea breeze disappeared here entirely) so staying inside with feet up eating medicinal ice cream. Yes, it's medicinal0
