When was v2 introduced? I'm not sure exactly when I phoned, but I got the confirmation letter that I'd been switched to v1 on 19 February. I'm going to ask them to backdate when I phone to switch to v2, but I can only expect them to backdate to when it came out.0

Thanks stewie. I'll give them a call on Monday to change and ask them to backdate it.0

Me and my Auntie are with powergen and have had a shock with this quaters bill, so we've tried comparing our bills. She has paper bills and gets dual power discount and I get my bills online and get EnergyOnline Extra Saver . Can you get a discount for both?
Thanks0 -
I emailed Powergen a week or two ago asking if I had automatically been upgraded to Energy Online Extra Saver v2, just got this reply;
Hello and thank you for your email.
Your product has automatically been updated to Energy Online Extra Saver Version 2.
Your electricity unit prices have been reduced from 17.870 p/kWh for the primary rate to 17.020 p/kWh, and from 9.100 p/kWh to 8.660 p/kWh for the secondary rate.
Your primary gas unit prices have been reduced from 3.559 p/kWh to 3.081 p/kWh. Your primary gas units have been reduced from 2.830 to 2.451 p/kWh.
These prices are before your 18percent annual discount has been applied, as opposed to the original Energy Online Extra Saver discount of 16percent.
These prices are also before VAT has been added.
If you have any further queries please email me and I will be happy to help.

Although I had already phoned them in the meantime last week to ensure I would be changed, it appeared then that it had not been done, but has now.
These figures do vary however from the figures on energyhelpline.com. These are slightly cheaper.0 -

You get a 9% discount for having dual fuel and paying by monthly DD, this is included in the Energy Online discount.0 -
i've just spoken to Powergen to make sure i'm on the cheapest scheme for me (live in Derbyshire). The person i spoke to wasn't very helpful at all
we're on ElectricityOnline Winter Saver Economy 7 for Electricity, and Energy Online Winter Saver for Gas.
we pay by direct debit and we manage our account on line. our latest bill has given us a total discount of 16% before VAT. I've just been told by Powergen that this discount includes:
discount for direct debit, dual fuel and for managing our account online. Can anyone confirm this please? As i expected to see more of a discount than 16%
think i might have to ring again and speak to someonelse0 -

Electric on v1 was = 17.16p primary and 9.48p secondary. And on V2 is 17.93p primary and 9.9p secondary.
Under gas on V1 = 3.559 primary and 2.83p secondary. On V2 is 3.235 primary and 2.574p secondary.
So more expensive on electric than v1 but cheaper on gas then? Ah they said will save me £22 so I ain't complaining
The v1 prices you've quoted are ex VAT which is why the electricity is cheaper on that. The unit prices inc VAT for v1 in your area were electric 18.02p primary and 9.95p secondary. Gas on V1 = 3.737 primary and 2.972p secondary0 -

Your discount is definitely correct. A standard dual fuel customer who pays by DD receives 9% discount. You receive an additional 2% on top of that for managing your account online plus an extra 5% winter saver discount. Why do you expect to see more than 16%?0
