A mother of 3 children and currently 1st and 9lbs over weight! I would like to say it was baby fat but with my youngest being 2 years of age.....I think that credit has run out now!!
I am joining weight watchers this Friday.... The only thing I am dreading is feeling hungry all the time!! :0(
Question...-.... with the new weight watchers diet is fruit and veg 0 points now? When I did weight watchers many moons ago.....most fruit was points which was very annoying!
Look forward to responses.0 -

Think just peas & sweetcorn have points - can't think of anything else that I've come across (yet) that has x
Good luck with it - the youngest of my 4 is now 19 months, so I thought the baby excuse was wearing a bit thin tooSmile and be happy, things can usually get worse!0 -
Most tinned fruit is free too - handy for me as I love tinned peaches and pineapple. You do have to drain the juice though!!WW Start Weight 18/04/12 = 19st 11lbsWeight today = 17st 6.5lbsLoss to date 32.5lbs!!!0

Just wondering why you're not so keen on WW? it essentially appears to be a simplified (?) calorie reduction diet with an emphasis on increasing fruit, veg, lean chicken/fish foods and reducing fatty/sugary foods. The aim seems to be to lose 1-2lbs per week on a regular basis which is generally considered to lead to sustained weight loss.
Not trying to be funny or anything, just wondering what your reasons are.0 -

Hi thought I would get involved! Been on weightwatchers for nearly 3 weeks and is going ok (lost 9 lbs total at last weigh in) but pretty sure this week is going to be no loss...I am worried I will get disheartened! How does everyone cope with no change weeks?
Also I find myself cheating a bit in that if I am looking for a food I will go for the lowest point comparable (ie if have a sausage at a BBQ and don't know what brand!!) how can I estimate better? I also find myself adding extra to my tracking in that I over estimate the amount and then at the end of the day going round and cutting them down!0 -
Well done Kiwi & Dolly
Catspyjamas - you know who the only person you're cheating is, don't you. Weigh & measure everything so you know what you've had is what you've actually had.
For the sausage at the bbq question I put in sausages to the tracker and take the middle amount of points, not the lowest.
Try not to revise your entries!
For weeks that you lose nothing, I look on it as you've already lost "this amount" and your body is getting used to be that much lighter, you will be lighter next week.0 -
Hi, I have just spent the last hour reading the whole thread! Didnt know a WW thread existed!
I lost weight about 3 years ago, got down to a size 10 and was over the moon, lots of things happened, relationship break up, redundancy, but I managed to keep the weight off until last year after having a big operation, was off work 3 months...anyway
After the op I decided that I would give it 6 months and not worry about weight and focus on recoery. Its now 9 months and I have put on 20lbs.
I need to get this off now and have been procrastinating, I cant use the 'I have just had an op' story anymore!!! My new OH works nights and we eat late, which I hate, I have fallen into bad habits, frying instead of grilling, eating crisps and chocolate etc. I am confident I can get back into 'my way' of doing things but I did lose my weight before on the WW Core plan. I found this easy as there was no weighing and all core food was free, meaning I could use weekly points for fun food/alchohol etc.
I read a lot of bad press about Pro Points on the WW forum site, people stuggled with it and it put me off, maybe it was people adjusting to the changes? Yet reading here you all seem to be doing ok with it!!! (which is good) but as I am on holiday in about 12 weeks I would like to give it a go. I know SW have a no count plan, but I just dont like SW for some reason! I have read something about Filling and healthy plan........ can someone explain to me what this is ........ I can do the planning, shopping and cooking, and am very very focused when I get going and am hoping that filling and healthy is what I am looking for...
I am away this weekend but will be joining my class next Saturday, using a monthly pass and would like to think that I can get a stone off before my holiday so any advice would be great ....!Dont wait for your boat to come in 'Swim out and meet the bloody thing'0
