Kids are pretty good now thanks although DS still a little coughy. Sorry to hear about little Issac, I can't begin to imagine how it felt for you.

We spent yesterday demonstrating that we do have a double garage (or be it with a single door) - having done that and got the photos we will now start moving the 'junk/treasure' in and no doubt in not too long it will be tight even to get one car in...(apologies for the image size)

Never had it, What's in it? Could this be the start of another ...who likes what, like the mushrooms?
I was going to post something serious I read today in last Sunday's newpaper (yes it takes me that long to read it all) about the pensions of the 1% private executives and director's, but I've had a couple of glasses of red, well it is Friday after all.... Maybe tomorrow.

Oh no! I have another Sunday paper to read, roll on Friday

Amazing! How do you get in/out of the car? Are you really thin?

I know it's really one and a half cars.

    Sighs.
Does any other country do this? Build "garages” that could fit only motorbikes or compact cars with sunroofs to climb out of. Or roads that can’t support two cars side-by-side. To be more accurate, the people who move to the countryside also drive the widest cars which you definitely can’t drive side by side.

Reminds me of those pillboxes Hoxha built all over Albania a good fraction of a million of them and none of them big enough for the two men they needed. A colossal waste of space and effort just like the UK’s pocket garages.

I gather the following is the norm in Japan where cars are parked one above the other. Either two-storey parking or you drive onto a drawer that slides under the house. Finally tracked down a film of that

You can drive the wide cars we drive in the country side by side, because we can use the verges in our cars:D

As long as you are inside driving it doesn't matter how ugly the outside is as you can't see it.

The big hills havea good icing of snow this morning, but not even my troughs are iced over down here. Its really pretty from inside, but outside its everything this weather isn't meant to be till after snow clears: slushy, muddy, slippery.

My horses are chomping hay in their barn contentedly and the chickens got a special treat of a bowl of corn undercover, which they like in bad weather so they don't have to go outside in the rain or snow, but still get into a different space, get a little fresh air and change of scene and something to eat.

No snow here. A little light drizzle but I just went outside in my T shirt and it feels quite warmish really.

We had a fair bit of snow, but nothing left this morning as far as the eye can see, which isn't to Exmoor or Dartmoor, where it's probably still hanging around.
