Debate House Prices
In order to help keep the Forum a useful, safe and friendly place for our users, discussions around non MoneySaving matters are no longer permitted. NPT4 is up to 10000 posts, so here comes part 5. This is a continuation of this thread. Before that were part 3, part 2, and the original thread.
If you want to talk to your friends on this board, but you've got something to say that has frankly nothing to do with house prices or the economy, or even moneysaving, then here is the place to do it, but please nothing contentious, and remember, even if you're not always a nice person out there on the rest of the board, you have to play nicely in here.
Thanks, as always, to the OPs of the previous threads, lostinrates and carolt.

Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

Ooops!!! Just posted on the old, worn-out thread!:o
Still, very MSE; a bit like using up that last bit of soap when you really want to start another one. :A
Thanks, Lydia.0 -

Thanks for the new NPT Lydia. I like nice round figures too.
I wonder what this thread will bring :A0 -
Thank you Lydia!
We added a bit of insanity top the garden today. It's brilliant, or will be when it's finished. Bird houses on ten foot posts. The bird houses are instead of a twee finial or knob, and Re disproportionate, so the posts look taller. It Looks deranged so I am very happy with it. We only got one up because we ran out of light, but it won't take long to finish off next weekend...Dh thinks we should go out with a torch and finish tonight0 -

I started in the garden today. Pruned two trees but decided to get rid of one of them in the end. Need to rent a woodchipper at some point.
War with cats have begun again, cleared a bed and covered it in leafmould and old compost sacks.
Found some sweet potatoes I accidentally overwintered. I feel that perhaps I can breed the first hardy sweet potato.0 -

Sorry to sound like a tyro but is it worth unlocking the old thread long enough to make sure the final post links to here. In case anyone finds it and has to hunt backwards? There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -

Right, done the last posts.
Any one know anything about drills? Ours kept grinding to a halt today.. The battery seemed to run out of charge really quickly and just now only managed to get ten screws in out of first battery. The last post has one fully in screw in it and two half done ones, we have been using six per post......the screws are one hundred and twenty mm long.0
