DS had maths tutor today. He’s not a savant but he does speedily answer maths questions.
He’ll never get great marks as he can’t put down working (he has trouble articulating the steps it takes) . I didn’t say the steps he takes as none of us is sure what those are, and it’s not clear he does either.
DW who sometimes seems clever enough to make me think the rest of us on the planet should just get on with eating grass, eventually found a way to get him to write everything out. Result!
Result = beer?! :eek:
That was the bit I found difficult as does my niece, too Zag, and I got a ‘B’, so don’t worry too much!
It’s a case of trying, and 2/3 answers if they can’t work out how you got it (Just been through this with niece), so if he gets 75% right, with 66% explanations, he’s guaranteed a ‘B’ grade (apparently)

You look so young!
Going to re-comment this as I found it funny having a copper on the phone
‘And can you run your OH’s DL down to J7 M11, as she looks about 14’
Yes, I’d let my 14yr old girlfriend drive a £45k BMW 5-series
(She’s actually 27) (Click here) (cut client out for client’s privacy)

It's moving day ...... oh wha t a mess..... I've done so little if you walked in here right now you'd never know I was leaving.
I'm sure it'll all come good in the end. It was raining earlier.... just gone dark again .... I'll wait another half an hour and see if I can get one box in the car.
I've been up all night. I can never sleep when things are changing. Been surfing t'net since 4am.0 -
We do, but I don't go there, as it's so depressing. (Over 50s or something like that.) All they seem to talk about......
.....Oh, hang on, some of you have talked about that on here!!!:(
Come to think of it, so have I.

I really hate mornings. Just to ease me in, DH has gone to London for three days leaving me to manage with the kids and that mammoth school run. I managed to convince him to take the dog, partly because he will get constant attention from DH and partly as I'm quite looking forward to maintaining a clean home for that time.
It's only what normal people do, but I haven't been normal in a while.
When I start a new job I can't sleep for the first two weeks, which is a big issue because it's the two weeks you're supposed to be making an impression and I feel like !!!!!! every morning and have to drag myself in.....
It never helped in that most of my jobs were new jobs either.... I've never had an old job. I think the longest I managed to achieve employment without the company closing, downsizing, selling off, whatever was about 15-18 months.0 -

I'm useless at mornings too, however long I've been doing them for. Have a great first day, and I hope your kids have been behaving beautifully in the morning.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

Train station approach from our side was flooded
. Went round the other way to find out when next train for dh was, and theyu said 'don't bother'.
Its stopped raining for a bit here though. We have no land dry enugh for the horses today at all, we would have if we had not had to start draining to Cake as an emergency onto the land nearest it.
Did someone say 'drought'?0 -

I'm sure it isn't, you know.
Aren't there lots of people on there who are wailing because they haven't made sufficient provision for the changes they face, even if it's just "Boots over 60s Advantage Card -major devaluation!"
When I start threads like that, I'll be ready for me box!0 -
Glad I have a decent manager...really couldn't be bothered today so emailed in begging for a duvet day. Am now bunkered down under the duvet reading post apocalyptic fiction. Result.0
