Just bought myself a tasteful pair of red plastic sunglasses for a tenner. I'm going to look like a complete tool on holiday. OH will be mortified!

Perhaps she will be happier if you buy her a little something too, so you can hang out together. Perhaps like these sunglasses:

May be we need an old farts sub board for those born in the 70s and before as there is nothing like mixing with younger people to really make you feel old so it is best avoided.

I've not been watching it since they got rid of most of the best singers in the head to head

I know you won't know the answer all the sssss's, but why did Tom keep the group? She didn't manage to sing a note in tune yesterday.

Did anyone else thing it was obvious that Ruth was going through when all the cheering started before her name was announced? I think the autocue will be put somewhere half the audience can't see it in time for next week's show.

Is it not like the xfactor where they do careful study of the audience demographics, propensity to vote on premium rate lines etc when they select the acts and shape the public vote?

I have red plastic sunglasses, They are fab, because they are bright you can find them easily when you miss place them. I love sunglasses, and wear them almost all year rou d and even when its quite dark.

My eyes water really easily and the darker it is the less that happens. I think i have sopmething called golf eye that my dad has. Still, it means i will, apparantly, be able to justify an eye lift in late middle age, for medical means not cosmetic. I am going to try saying golf face instead of golf eye maybe.

I don't know what demographic would vote for this couple though. He looked like Catweazel and she looked like one of those freaky clairvoyant women with lots of cats.

    Erm, your right :D

The soul singer Rik, or summit, is the best but I couldn't agree with most of last weeks head to heads.
It's supposed to be the voice but they didn't judge on the voice last week.
It's put me off and I didn't catch it this weekend.

We watched some and found the whole format flawed.

It is joyous indeed to have an emphasis on talent and voice, but ......

...let me tell you, in the real world if you have signed up your artisits and one walks in who is better afterwards....you sign them too, and either keep the other on your books and pay them little attention, or move away.

I presumed the idea was to find the next generation Cass Elliot, something that just would be really hard to happen nowadays, which is a tragedy. Imagine music without mama cass in its history!, but the truth is, it doesn't sell well.

I don't remember the cat woman and chap, but if they are good i would have thought they sound like who it was meant to find, and who the world has no place for now, genuine talent but missing the packaging. I am not dissing packaging. Its the difference now between good and salable, and if you cannot sell it it doesn't matter how good it is!

The distinction in this show was supposed to be all about the voice or it would have just been another talent show. That was it's edge.
