I start my new job tomorrow. Like an excited child I have laid out my clothes and make up for tomorrow and done my hair so I can easily restraighten it in the morning.

I really hate mornings. Just to ease me in, DH has gone to London for three days leaving me to manage with the kids and that mammoth school run. I managed to convince him to take the dog, partly because he will get constant attention from DH and partly as I'm quite looking forward to maintaining a clean home for that time. :)

It's only what normal people do, but I haven't been normal in a while.

May be we need an old farts sub board for those born in the 70s and before as there is nothing like mixing with younger people to really make you feel old so it is best avoided.

One for the lads, now the girls are in bed

35? Well, she's aged well, but it helps that she's so athletic.

DS had maths tutor today. He’s not a savant but he does speedily answer maths questions.

He’ll never get great marks as he can’t put down working (he has trouble articulating the steps it takes) . I didn’t say the steps he takes as none of us is sure what those are, and it’s not clear he does either.

DW who sometimes seems clever enough to make me think the rest of us on the planet should just get on with eating grass, eventually found a way to get him to write everything out. Result!
