How much was it on the market for before it was repo'd?Is this No. 92? Bought in 2007 for £385,000, so it's slightly surprising that they have been repo'd with the value having gone up by £100k, since they bought it. Perhaps they MEW'd?
Bought as a 3 bed semi, 2 storey extension and refurb'd and now they can't pay the mortgage. It wasn't on the market before being repo'd. In fact the repossessed had their heads in the sand and had to make arrangements with baliffs to retrieve their possessions, according to a note on the window.
Slightly odd that the estate agent is out of area.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Glad you enjoyed it. I'm guessing you had an Ann's pasty at the Lizard... I went there and was disappointed. It was the end of their session, I didn't think much to the customer service and the pasty was cold and pretty grim.
I've not been to Boscastle for donkeys years, probably 12+ years.
Been everywhere on your list .... many times. Fact is, most of it's only interesting/lovely if you're on holiday
I last did Mousehole when they had the Xmas lights up. St Just is an ... interesting (aka inbred) place
If you were held up by a Mini with a Union Jack on its roof, then I can only apologise! Having said that I was highly impressed with my mum's negotiation of hills - I did the long driving spells and she did all the difficult stuff
I did think of you as we were driving around - of course we were doing touristy things, but there didn't appear to be a lot of work other than in the touristy type things. We were also glad that we weren't driving around in the summer with millions of other clueless tourists (just us).
It was an Ann's pasty. We must have timed it just right as it was excellent - and still piping hot when we got to Marazion. We also got a demo of how to make a pasty (not that we couldn't have guessed) from perhaps Ann herself, so full marks for the customer service too.
Boscastle was nice - very pretty. St Just - we were only there as staying in the youth hostel (despite my worries about turning 30 I was definitely the closest to a youth staying there by a long shot). Will try and post a pic of the view from our dorm later, it was brilliant.
Know what you mean about only interesting/ lovely when your on your hols. Where we live is tourist central too. Its nice visiting someone elses!0 -

Seeing two houses, left mucking out till later. Dh is coming home. Its probably a bit sickening that having been togather so long (not sure hor long:o) i still get butterflies in my tummy when he is coming home:o. For all the difficulties living apart can bring, fridays usually make up for it, having the constant reminder of what ohysical responce of passion is, and how magical it is to have your heart held iin the hands by someone you love and trust. Any thing less is not worth it.
Anyhoo, my bath is cooling down before i can get in it, which is another bonus, a properly hot bath. Oh yes, today is a good day!:T0 -
Don't think I've ever eaten a pasty, but then I.ve never been to Devon or Cornwall.
What IS good about paties though is it's just raw ingredients, cooked in pastry. To make a Cornish pasty you literally just layer some raw veggies and raw meat with some salt/pepper and bake. Therefore, it's not really like eating junk food at all
If you've never had one, then I'd say don't worry because you only really get the full benefit of it if you're IN Cornwall, it's sunny, you're relaxed and the pasty is [a] hot and a good one.
It's a bit like a hot dog or candy floss - you can get one anywhere, but you only REALLY enjoy them when you're unexpectedly on a fairground.0 -

 of all the things i never thought a nice person would say here.
For what its worth i think chewy probably is not a cake. Or a cart. Or a cane.0 -

It's in Thailand, so you're going next winter I assume? Nothing is better than England in the summer (ignoring the rain drumming on my window just at this particular moment). No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0
