It's in Thailand, so you're going next winter I assume? Nothing is better than England in the summer (ignoring the rain drumming on my window just at this particular moment).
nah - we're going pretty soon, in less than a month. we've both got holiday we need to use up, and OH was getting grumpy that we haven't been abroad anywhere for a proper holiday since 2009*. it's cheap there in may (presumably because it's the worst time of the year to go).
* = apparently going to australia seven times in that period does not constitute a "proper holiday"
on the subject of long haul flights, i actually quite like them in a weird sort of way. we live quite close to heathrow so not too much hassle to get to the airport and back, and then 12 hours of watching films and eating jacobs crackers with plastic cheese. sad i know...0 -

For what its worth i think chewy probably is not a cake. Or a cart. Or a cane.0 -

the room looked a bit bigger and it was a bit more expensive so i presumed it must be better. also i was a bit freaked out by the "intimacy kit" that comes in the love.
I was relieved to see that the Cozy comes with a work desk, so you can stay on top of your emails. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

My mind boggles at what that could contain. Gdb wouldn't reciew something for amazon, maybe he would know.
I tell you, sometimes my eyes want to bleed at what i read here. Bleed.
hahaha! it says that the intimacy kit is in the mini bar, so i'm guessing it's something like a bottle of cheap champagne and some chocolates, rather than a leather mask and a saddle.0 -

but i don't think i'm being one in this case.
loafing in your room is what holidays in tropical parts are all about for me - you get your own deck can sit there reading in peace in the sun, occassionally demanding room service, rather than sitting by the pool being bothered by other peoples' badly behaved children.
and also i'm pretty sure i'm not being ungrateful since i'm paying.
Don't you want to go out and buy straw donkeys/whatever and climb mountains in stupid heat - and do typical Brit things?0 -

yes, i can provide a running commentary here as well. 11.32...still in room, reading. 11.35...still in room, continue to read. 11.38...still in room, monsoon raging outside, reading. 11.40...reading, in room. 11.47 reading in (flooded) room. 11.52 room service has arrived, reading (in room).
be sure to be on line so you don't miss anything.0 -

Why would they call a snack and a drink an intimicy kit?0 -

i would be happy not doing anything for the entire time. 2 weeks of just lying there reading, eating and drinking (pref all at the same time) is my idea of a perfect holiday.
i will probably get dragged out to do a couple of things unfortunately, god knows what. probably some horrid street market.0 -

Lemonjelly would be horrified while to me that makes it sound a bit better.....0 -

for the same reason they call their rooms "the LOVE" "the WOW" and "the COZY" and they put a gong in some of them, i expect.
i will break into one of the LOVE rooms and find out what it consists of and report back.0
