We bought some somewhat personal items from Amazon, and now they are pestering us for a review. No way is my wife putting her name to a review on these particular items. :)

You could do something alonge lines of the Veet for Men amazon reviews ;) That would be well worth a read!

Which is less stressful for you?

Hmmm. Good angle. Not sure, grass is easiest certainly, less of a gamble, but lower return bu a long way really but not sure either is less stressful, because of price fluctuation and trying to predict what will do better for the business this year. Next year hay will be less stressful as i will need it again, but then there is the stress of paying for it inadvance and hoping i can sell the excess. :D

I actually think a certain amount of stress is healthy, And all the better if its for hunter gatherer purpose rather than family issues. Its natural to have to make gambles and decisions.

Yes, its funny getting back from Cornwall where we've discussed pasties much more than we normally would to find they are also the topic of conversation here!

We went to quite a number of places (the joys of having a car rather than having to rely on buses)... including Newquay, Land's End, Mousehole thanks for recommendation), Newlyn, St Just (where we stayed the first night), Lizard Point/ Lizard (where we purchased our best pasty), Marazion/ St Michael's Mount, Padstow, Rock, Boscastle (where we had a truly awful pasty this afternoon).

We generally pottered around/ drove around and looked for things to look at or eat! We seemed to dodge the rain pretty well (and were either indoors or in the car when it rained heavily).

And you drove right by my house...... it's not often people do that. Probably 2-4x too. Maybe you were the idiot holding me up on Tuesday, driving at 30mph :)

Glad you enjoyed it. I'm guessing you had an Ann's pasty at the Lizard... I went there and was disappointed. It was the end of their session, I didn't think much to the customer service and the pasty was cold and pretty grim.

I've not been to Boscastle for donkeys years, probably 12+ years.

Been everywhere on your list .... many times. Fact is, most of it's only interesting/lovely if you're on holiday :)

I last did Mousehole when they had the Xmas lights up. St Just is an ... interesting (aka inbred) place :)

We got caught out and got our feet very wet (didn't click that people were waiting as there were big waves headed our way), but that added to the fun.

I entirely agree with you that it never made sense to sell off council housing. It was a Conservative electioneering stunt. But I had better not go on too much about this, as some people may be offended.

There's no reason why an ex-LA property in a good area should not make a very nice home for somebody with £500k to spend.
What doesn't make sense about it? It turns sensible savers into get-rich-quick borrowers, workers less likely to strike over pay and conditions, spreads lots of lovely debt around, makes the workforce less mobile, and gets more people into the housing price inflation pyramid scheme. :D

And it leads to a situation where three very basic houses in the London area could add up to a million quid! Soon we'll all be property miliionaires!
    Hurrah! Trebles all round!

I don't really like pasties, but i do like pastry. And all the other things in pasties. I just find the whole a bit.....bland, or alternatively weirdly peppery but still...bland.

Edit: my view pull in and look food of choice would probably be fish and chips by the sea.

    .
I love pasties but mainly from the specialist stalls and shops rather than the standard bakery ones.

Fish and chips are even bettert but living in London... at uni we were told the supply chain from the fishing boats to London was really long compared with the rest of the country and the fish aren't great.
Some reserchers had gone out on a boat, landed some fish, took the night train to London and got some traders to sell it and give feedback but the customers thought it was too bland. I won't take the explanation any further as I don't want to put anyone off thier food!

Had fish and chips at the seaside once in Devon - tasted great, but never again, tried to eat them in the open waiting for a bus

It was like a scene from a Hitchcock movie- I'll let you guess which one.
