My dad loves patties. Tbh, not sure i remember the taste. There is a jamacan takeway which we got one from not all that long ago and i didn't like that, but cannot really remember if thats what they should taste like.
Of course, i don't know if i remembered when i had the patty recently or not. Or whether i will remember in an hour or so, lol.
Its weird thinking abot childhood food. I remember the seafood being massive, but was just because i was small? And i remember a pizza in america so big it took up the whole top of the cafe table, and my parents having histerics of giggles.
Recently i discovered kraft mac n cheese in tesco. It felt weird, bit like it did when oreos became so commonplace here and one saw them. I got a pack for old time sake, though we never had it that much. And even though never had it much the taste was weirdly familiar and sort of naughty.0 -

Edit: my view pull in and look food of choice would probably be fish and chips by the sea.
Atm i am craving sushi all the time. Which is weird, as i can be funny about sushi, its one of those things i either really want or really don't want. E.g. I rarely want it in hot weather, or in cold weather, but like golidlocks and the baby bear, when its 'just right'.
My mother used to make sushi, maybe i should get her rolling up thingy. I have a feeling part of the attraction is that they are made by some one else though. So tired this evening i had a little whiney cry. Then the cats bit me, so i bucked up. Still, would have been nice were someone around to make me a cuppa or some sushi.Day off required. To just eat your cheese, sushi, drink tea and not do much thinking at all, please.

Where did you go? What did you do? What discoveries did you make? What was the most magical place you saw/went to?
Yes, its funny getting back from Cornwall where we've discussed pasties much more than we normally would to find they are also the topic of conversation here!
We went to quite a number of places (the joys of having a car rather than having to rely on buses)... including Newquay, Land's End, Mousehole thanks for recommendation), Newlyn, St Just (where we stayed the first night), Lizard Point/ Lizard (where we purchased our best pasty), Marazion/ St Michael's Mount, Padstow, Rock, Boscastle (where we had a truly awful pasty this afternoon).
We generally pottered around/ drove around and looked for things to look at or eat! We seemed to dodge the rain pretty well (and were either indoors or in the car when it rained heavily).0 -

Just realised by deluge you meant the rain not the pasty talk!! Heard some of it, but managed to sleep through the big overnight bit (mum wasn't so fortunate).
Think our favourite bit was Marazion - we'd bought our pasties in Lizard and then ate them in the car when we arrived in Marazion (or Marzipan as we took to calling it) as it was raining. We'd been told that low tide was from midday onwards so were also waiting for that to walk over the Causeway. As we finished eating the delicious pasties the rain stopped and the Sun came out
People starting walking across so we walked from the car along the beach then across the causeway. We got caught out and got our feet very wet (didn't click that people were waiting as there were big waves headed our way), but that added to the fun. We had a potter round the bits of the mount that you don't have to pay for, and then treated ourselves to a shared cream tea - sat outside in the sunshine

Our last pasty was the one nearest to Devon and was definitely the worst - you may be onto something!0 -

Hopefully next week, maybe tuesday, will be a 'lir day'. And dh will help at the weekend.
I am just overtired, not one uninterrupted night with critters, then lots of looking at houses and biting tongues, and then the goose crisis at the beginning of the week....it will all be better after a sleep. Typically, now i could sleep but feel a bit wired:rotfl:

Re rain, lake cake is deeper than ever seen it, and filled over hal a foot this week. I better remembe to turn the pump on tomorrow or that risks being flooded too.0

Forgive me for interfering in something I don't understand, but why do you have all this livestock? It seems to tire you out and stress you. Could you not cut back a bit?No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
Board starting to look like a sock drawer again. And the trolling's getting out of hand.
It's just so bl00dy tiresome.
Ruins any prospect of a civilised debate.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
Belief in myths allows the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.”

The same could said about children, GBD. I'm sure lir wouldn't if she didn't derive pleasure from them in equal measure? It does help if people don't nick them!Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.
