Now that is a service we could use :eek:PasturesNew wrote: »Quick - if you're bored. New programme (new to me).
Channel 4+1, Freeview 13: Get your house in order.
They go to cluttered houses - clear them of junk, flog off the stuff and spend the money to revamp the house.
This one's an oddball recluse type of single bloke.
House is SO cluttered he can hardly move round the house!I think....0 -

How many of you have actually sat in those spots and actually eaten a:
1] Pasty
2] Hot pasty
3] Hot, fresh pasty
4] Hot, fresh, CORNISH pasty?
Because [4] is what was in my hand when I sat today in my pasty eating view spot
I've just returned from 3 days of eating hot, fresh Cornish pasties in a variety of spots in Cornwall0 -

OK, I admit that I don't eat pasties very often, but I did sit in that spot on 16th April and eat a pasty. The pasty was from a family bakery, and it was truly awful, but then it only cost 60p.
In the past, we'd eat fish & chips there, but we have a closer F&C shop now. I'm still searching for the best viewpoint within 5-10 minutes of that.0 -

Soooo .... Devon pasties are !!!!
The truth is, not all pasties are created equal - and even in Cornwall there are the good and the bad... there are also Ginsters (the appalling).
It take a lot of practice to work out which are the best bakeries in Cornwall.... lots of practice that I have been putting in.
For a quick, but reasonably good, Cornish pasty, while in Cornwall - Rowes Pasties are quite often found, served hot, just inside the door of most Asdas. although there aren't actually a lot of Asdas in Cornwall. They also have shops and are in other places, but you London types won't be able to spot those as easily as you can spot an Asda sign0 -
I don't really like pasties, but i do like pastry. And all the other things in pasties. I just find the whole a bit.....bland, or alternatively weirdly peppery but still...bland.
Edit: my view pull in and look food of choice would probably be fish and chips by the sea.
Atm i am craving sushi all the time. Which is weird, as i can be funny about sushi, its one of those things i either really want or really don't want. E.g. I rarely want it in hot weather, or in cold weather, but like golidlocks and the baby bear, when its 'just right'.
My mother used to make sushi, maybe i should get her rolling up thingy. I have a feeling part of the attraction is that they are made by some one else though. So tired this evening i had a little whiney cry. Then the cats bit me, so i bucked up. Still, would have been nice were someone around to make me a cuppa or some sushi.0 -

I'm not a fan either.
Haven't had one in 30 years or more0 -
I must admit to not really eating a lot of pasties - I just happen to have had two hot ones this week as it was convenient ... box shifting = I needed a treat. And the Rowes ones in Asda are just £1.
In the trendier hotspots you can pay some right daft money for some pasties!!!
They are best eaten fresh/hot. I've reheated some good ones before and they're not the same as being freshly baked.
Anyway .... they might be taxing them soon, adding 20% VAT.0 -
Now if we are talking savoury pastries...mmm
What do you reckon LIR?I think....0
