I must have been tired, how on earth did I miss that?
That's brilliant Wheezy! :rotfl:Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

OT, has anyolne found the Paypal website to be user-hostile. I put a credit card on my account yesterday to buy something, then Paypal took the money out of my mortgage account instead , which is now going to cause me no end of hassle.
I've scoured the web for a solution but there's no easy way to fix it I can find. I've now got to transfer money from my credit card to my mortgage account manually on a day-by-day basis to make sure my mortgage is paid, plus pay a shedload of interest on the cash withdrawals." Let the buyer beware" indeed!:eek:There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -

They used to be straightforward: you got them for post count. The first one was at 20 posts, I seem to remember, and then they were something like 200, 800, 2000, 8000 or similar. However, they are now behaving differently, and some users with the same number of posts have got different numbers of stars, so I think they must have some more complicated formula involving thanks count.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

And at risk of going slightly on-topic for the board, I bet you are really delighted you did and would not change your decision whatever had happened to house prices in the interim. This is the bit I think the 'bulls and bears' don't get, for the majority of people a house is not an investment timed to maximise profit but a home to live in.Just realised that today it has been a whole year since I bought my house.I think....0

Absolutely. I am delighted that I bought *this house* long enough after the death for me to be able to cope with moving, but in plenty of time for the school application. From a purely financial point of view, I'm not particularly thrilled there was a peak in HP at about the time I bought *a house* but that's not my primary concern.
I do love not having to pay rent, though, and I'm spending less on housing too - even allowing for the fact that I used to earn interest on the life insurance money and don't now I've spent it, I'm still better off paying what I'm paying on my house loan now than I was paying rent. (Note to recently joined NPs: My house loan is not a commercial mortgage. I borrowed from my dad, and am paying him a better rate of interest than he was getting on his savings, so it's a win for both of us. He's very indignant about the way banks keep dropping interest rates unless you keep switching accounts - he thinks it's immoral - so he likes the idea that the money he's lent to me won't be subject to that kind of thing! :rotfl:)Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Does the house get a birthday present? or cake?
We have all sorts of nonsense birthdays. I remember one of the boys being indignant that I had a new car on their birthday, therefore they had to share future birthdays with the car!I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Good idea silvercar. I'll make a cake this afternoon. I might do something a bit more in 3 weeks' time, when we get to the anniversary of moving in.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? I like that.
We have too many birthdays. The horses have to share (i do not know their birthdays, horses like the queen have the day they are Born and official birthdays, so they all celebrate their official birthdays, of which there are two, brcause some are tbs, some are natives, which have different bdays, but most are both so we let them have two bdays.)
Dh and i worked like stink this morning, sweeping, digging the muck heap and ...something else. Thing is, to anyone else it looks pretty much the same.0
